Turkish translations sense 1
[edit]1 - Even "siyah " "kara" both means black, only 2nd is used for sense 1 2 - karalatmak is the reflexive, therefore karalamak is right for the sense 1st Flāvidus (talk) 00:10, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

Usage note
[edit]In its best-established sense denigrate means "attack a reputation." However, it is now often found to mean "disparage or belittle." In this, it is following in the footsteps of deprecate in "self-deprecating". JMGN (talk) 06:48, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
