[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘌𑘩𑘱 (oli), 𑘌𑘩𑘲 (olī), 𑘪𑘻𑘯𑘲 (voḷī), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀑𑀮𑀻 (olī), from Sanskrit आवलि (āvali). Compare Kannada ಓಳಿ (ōḷi).
