The county's major tourist attraction is the endless lowlands, the undisturbed nature and the monuments of cities. Tourists have turned their attention to the farms, where the legendary wilderness romance and the proximity to nature could be enjoyed.

Kecskemét is an easy daytrip from Budapest or Szeged by train or by bus. Its main sights are the town hall, Cifra Palace, Science and Technology Hall (former synagogue), Katona József Theatre.
