Concern was that the article fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL. PROD contested by the articles creator without providing a reason. – Michael (talk) 03:01, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
I believe Brandon Allen (soccer) deserves to be a page due to the fact that the player in question signed his first professional contract. He may not have played in any professional games yet, but that is because the season has not started. All information regarding the player have been properly referenced. - It's all just routine coverage. Signing a professional contract doesn't satisfy the notability guidelines. So as of right now, this article should be deleted. – Michael (talk) 07:33, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

- Delete - Fails NFOOTY as has not played senior international football nor played in a fully professional league. No indication that subject has garnered significant reliable coverage for any other achievements to satisfy GNG. A case of WP:TOOSOON at best. Can be restored easily if / when he makes FPL debut. - Move to Userspace / Delete Allen is listed on the team's roster and the Red Bulls open their season March 6, 2016. Once he plays for a single minute in a professional game, NFOOTY is satisfied, all of the arguments for deletion evaporate and the article can be moved uncontroversially to mainspace, without destroying the existing article and all of its history. If he never plays professionally in his life, the article sits in userspace and is never moved. The failure to consider this option in this case -- and all such cases, as a matter of course -- is bizarre. Alansohn (talk) 11:57, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

- Userfy to DBonino as the original creator. If the subject plays this season, then the article can be moved back to mainspace. Until he plays, he does not meet WP:NFOOTY, and there is insufficient coverage to meet WP:GNG. — Jkudlick tcs 04:42, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
- Delete - can be created again if and when he meets WP:NFOOTY Spiderone 11:41, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
