- Ace Online (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
Fails to meet the general notability guideline because this topic does not have coverage by reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Article is only supported by primary sources, or unreliable self-published sources. Randomran (talk) 19:54, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Gracefully withdrawn by nominator: research in Korean language and of alternate names reveal a great deal of coverage. Hopefully someone can incorporate those resources into the article. Randomran (talk) 16:10, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment As this is an article about a Korean product no longer marketed in the United States, I'm concerned that independent coverage may have simply escaped the notice of editors, since little, if any, of it would be in English. Also, I noticed that the publisher of this game, Yedang Online, is currently a redlink. Merging this article into a new Yedang Online article, similar to the Yedang Online article on the Japanese Wikipedia, might be an option. I don't know Korean, but a Google search on "예당온라인" ("Yedang Online" in Korean) turns up a lot of hits, including this page on kr.stock.yahoo.com that seems to indicate Yedang Online is a publicly traded company receiving significant press coverage. - Comment International issues definitely make this a bit more challenging. It still has to show notability somehow, though. I'm willing to defer to someone else's good judgment a lot more if they show a mastery of Korean or what have you. Randomran (talk) 15:08, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, lack of coverage by reliable secondary sources does not mean the article fails to meet WP:GNG. That's just one indicator of notability. The game is apparently known by several names: Ace Online, Space Cowboy, Space Cowboy Online, SCO, AirRivals, Flysis. I do see an interview with the producer of the game Jason Park[1], another interview with Jason Park at Joystiq[2], a profile on GameSpot[3], a profile on GameSpot Korea[4], a mention in The Register[5], something about security technology for the game at Gamasutra[6], a mention in Next Generation[7].
- I don't speak Korean or Japanese, but searching for "Ace Online" I see 2 articles at CNet Japan[8] (the Google translation mentions something about Russia and "Ace Online will expand into 70 countries worldwide") [9] (the Google translation mentions something about the game entering Thailand and the company Winner Online) and a mention in The Chosun Ilbo[10] (I think the Google translation is mainly about Audition aka Dancing Paradise, but Ace Online is mentioned. I'm thinking it says Yedang Online generated sales double expectations (or 30 million over) and Yedang Online is known for publishing Ace Online).
- This site looks like an okay English language source about the game. This is a Google Translation of the news page for the game at GameSpot Korea. I think I also saw something about how the game was translated into German. This is a Google translation of a Korean news story about the game on Inews24. I would say that's the best source I've found so far. There are several users who speak Korean and translate Korean we could ask for input. The game appears notable to me. --Pixelface (talk) 19:29, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, It is not only a fairly written article but also deals with a notable game in South Korea to export to several coutries. I can find as many reliable resources as I can by googling in Korean language setting. Although an article about Yedang Online is not created yet, but the company is also very famous in South Korea.[11][12][13][14][15]
