- Keep. The George Cross (or the Empire Gallantry Medal, which is what he was originally awarded) is the highest decoration awarded by Britain for a gallant action out of combat. It's the non-combat equivalent of the Victoria Cross. It is the second highest decoration (after the VC) awarded by Britain, higher than any knighthood. It passes WP:ANYBIO #1 with its eyes closed. As for being "unsourced", did any of you actually bother reading the article, with its link to a citation in the official British Government gazette?
