[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Louis Cheikhô, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Orientalist (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hi Zerged. Thank you for your interest in Edouard René Hambye, as he was someone connected with Kerala church history it is an article I've been trying to improve. Unfortunately your move of the article while a "requested move" was going on is not allowed by WP:RM rules so you will have to return it to original position. Re your comment "So was his correct name: Hambye does not belong to the Anglo-saxon world)" You are right, evidently people in Kerala were aware he was not Anglo-Saxon, but the name is Édouard as in Édouard Manet the spelling "Edouard" does not exist for French-speaking Belgians, the existence of "Edouard René" in the old name is a typographical limitation. It should be Édouard like other articles. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:04, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. I suggest you go to the page RM and paste that information - there is some absolute stupidity going on there. But also, can you supply more info for the article? In ictu oculi (talk) 22:30, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
