Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Avril Lavigne
[edit]Sorry for the late reply... quite busy at the moment. But I took a look at Avril Lavigne discography and looks pretty good to me. I fixed a few of them, but here are some suggestions for a FL-quality list.
- Some parts of the lead have no citations (e.g. "Lavigne was first discovered while singing at local music festivals and events near her hometown of Napanee, Ontario.", "She received her first record deal in 2000 when she was 16 years old.", ) These might be contested when a prospective FL-review takes place.)
- Also in the lead, some albums (e.g. Under My Skin, The Best Damn Thing, Avril Lavigne) have no info regarding subsequent single releases (some of which were top 40 hits). You can include that.
- According to WP:DISCOGSTYLE, worldwide sales figures are not recommended to be included on the table as they are generally suspect.
- In promotional singles, some entries have missing citations *e.g. "How You Remind Me", "Take Me Away")
- Some citations have no dates and accessdates (e.g. Ref 4)
- Some citations have titles that are capitalized that need to be revised to sentence cases (e.g. Ref 47, Ref 48, Ref 52, etc.)
- Some citations have missing publishers/websites and the works also are not italicized (e.g. Ref 79. [sample work=Billboard. publisher=Prometheus Global Media], Ref 174 - [sample website=MTV. publisher=Viacom Media Networks]). Please check those.
- Some citations' links might not be working (e.g. BPI certified awards page - I fixed that now but please check if I also missed something)
- Archiving references using WP:WEBCITE could really help a lot in a prospective WP:FLC.
Other than that, the page looks good. Great job! If you submit this for FLC, you won't really have that much of a hard time. Good luck! Chihciboy (talk) 07:10, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply and edits. 😊😊😊 U990467 (talk) 14:52, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Apology
[edit]I would like to apologize for the trouble I gave you on Into You (Ariana Grande song). I'm still a bit perplexed as to why she would post a fanmade cover. I did a little bit of digging and found more reliable sources for the cover that's being used on Republic Playbook, and found this article using the image Ariana has been posting on her socials. If you click on the image it says fanmade. So again, I apologize for the trouble. ilovemusic (Talk To Me!) 16:29, 14 August 2016 (UTC)

- "Habits" was the song's old title while "Habits (Stay High)" is the new and official one. The latter was used in Billboard and Hung Medien so I think that the headline of wikipage should be Habits (Stay High). The Hippie Sabotage remix has its own title called "Stay High". And now it is a single completely different from "Habits (Stay High)" according to Hung Medien. --U990467 (talk) 18:42, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Okie dokie well thanks for splitting them both up anyway. –Davey2010Talk 20:06, 19 August 2016 (UTC)

Habits
[edit]Hello. I don't understand why you splitted "Habits" into two differents articles; I know that "Habits (Stay High)" and "Stay High" are different singles but they are, by the way, the same song, as indicated by Davey. Also, you should move the content, not just copy and paste it. However, I agree with the fact that the article should be titled "Habits (Stay High)", not just "Habits".--Paparazzzi (talk) 05:25, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- Per WP:SIZESPLIT. The remix is notable enough to have its own page. --U990467 (talk) 05:28, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- Whouldn't it be better to open a discussion about it? Songs with multiple versions are compiled into one single article ("Elastic Heart", "Let It Go", "Summertime Sadness"). As "Habits" is a longer article, it could be an exception—but it may need the opinion from other users, since they are the same song. I would like you to revert your edits and wait for a consensus.--Paparazzzi (talk) 06:01, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- I'm OK with that. But my opinion is that these two songs should be splitted. "Habits (Hippie Sabotage remix)" has been renamed as "Stay High" and became a single different from "Habits". It's a completely different situation compared to those examples you took. --U990467 (talk) 06:29, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

You & Me (Marc E. Bassy song)
[edit]Would you maybe consider changing the referencing style for You & Me (Marc E. Bassy song)? Perhaps somebody will point it out, but it's prohibitive to section-editing to define all the references at the end. It forces editors to either load the whole page where they would only normally need to edit a section, or makes them edit two sections, which can be time-consuming depending on what it is. It might look neater for now, but it gets very complicated if the page gets long and more detailed. I'll raise it at the GA nomination too, because this isn't a very common referencing format on music articles on Wikipedia anymore and for good reasons. Ss112 06:15, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
In fact, I'm not the one who changed the referencing style. It's another user called NSH002. If you thought that it will cause any inconvenience, you can connect him. By the way, I'm OK with any format of references. U990467 (talk) 06:48, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Black Pink Discography
[edit]Thank you U990467. In box album, I think all previous single should included in Blackpink (EP) cause it will first time that is released in officially album announing. In issue about Square Two, it was just released EP only in itunes but other online outlet in Korea and some streaming announed that was a single (no include first two single from Square One) and In ygfamily.com announed Square Two is figured in single[1] but I will remain Square Two is a EP section and I will change only box album. Are you okay for this.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
- Since "Playing with Fire" / "Stay" has been released as the promotional tool for Square Two (EP) digitally in the US, I think that it shouldn't be removed from the album box. --U990467 (talk) 08:48, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
- Well, I'm okay too. Can you cut infomation in footnote to shortly, it is too more text. It's so good can read enter to read in main article.
- Hi U990467. I don't understand why first two single are not included in Square Two. For my understanding, when single is released, after that it is included in EP or Studio album in normally. In this case, Square One was a double A-side single and Billborad said Square Two was a EP. In my opinion, it should including. (talk) 11:04, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Although "Boombayah" / "Whistle" are on Square Two, it doesn't mean that they are singles FROM that EP. The reason why I put "Boombayah" / "Whistle" / "Playing with Fire" / "Stay" / "As If It's Your Last" into BLACKPINK is the promo for Japanese music video release by YG recently. --U990467 (talk) 11:07, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Let Go sales
[edit]I have provided multiple source, not just 1 about Let Go sales in which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Even AVRIL LAVIGNE HERSELF confirmed and posted it on her OFFICIAL INSTAGRAM about the 20 million copies sold of Let Go so i dont understand why you called me "vandalize" when i provided the source. - Most of the source you provided are NOT RELIABLE 'cause they are blogs or promotional description from the recording label. And multiple reverts done by you has already caused vandalism. --U990467 (talk) 14:12, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
Let go Sales
[edit]"Most of the source you provided are NOT RELIABLE 'cause they are blogs or promotional description from the recording label"
-First things first how its not reliable when one of the sources was from ACTUAL BOOK "Historical Dictionary of Popular Music"?A BOOK!Not to mention the other sources were reliable as well for example Pop Buzz. All of the album sales from that Pop Buzz article is real so why Avril's album is the one that is not reliable/false according to "you"? -Second, you said cause they are blogs or "promotional description from the recording label". Are you referring to Avril post from her OFFICIAL INSTAGRAM?Because if its like your so called "promotional description from the recording label" then why she didnt said Let go sold 30 million or 25 million etc?Or if thats the case then why not all the artist lied about their album sales? Why this thing only matter when it comes to Avril's album? Why Avril simply stated about Let Go sold 20 million on her post?Because thats the real sales. -The Let Go only sold 16 million thing was old. 16 million sales was from 2007 when she was just releasing The Best Damn Thing album. Dont believe me?U can check the 2007 archived web from her official website where her official website stated Let Go sold 16 million as of 2007 or another "reliable" source from 2007.
Thank you and have a good day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Godneybjs (talk • contribs) 12:51, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
- That is a primary source, cannot be accepted as a source. Also, the worldwide sales for Let Go as of January 2011 is still 16 million copies according to Daily Record (check here). --U990467 (talk) 08:49, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
BTS discography.
[edit]You can't put re-released albums in the same table of Studio albums. The article says: "Separate types of releases (such as studio albums, live albums, extended plays, etc.) are generally split up into individual sections and tables."
It's that way in all wikipedia. See this cases:
- [2] The Christmas album has a re-release.
I'll do a separate table to the reissues like this one.--88marcus (talk) 03:50, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
Relevance of Korean sales in Ariana Grande discography
[edit]Can you elaborate on why you believe her music being largely made by Swedish producers bares more relevance to how her music has charted there than the fact that she's sold more records in South Korea (over 6 Million) than in Sweden or New Zealand? South Korea, as well, is a larger music market than either (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_music_industry_market_share_data). To purposefully leave off her Korean stats is an erroneous oversight and ignores that it is one of Grande's main markets based on sales reports.
Heartbeats00402 (talk) 15:23, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
- You said "relevance," which is not completely based on sales data. You can see the relationship between New Zealand and Lorde discography. Also, the chart system of Gaon Digital Chart is separated into Korean singles and oversea singles, which is very different from the others (like Japan Hot 100). It means that the ranking on that chart do not show the valid meaning like the others do. --U990467 (talk) 16:06, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
Ariana Grande
[edit]Hi. I see that you do some work on the Ariana Grande articles. Do you think that anything in this People magazine article belongs in the Ariana Grande-related articles? For example:
- the stuff about her character, generally, in the main Ariana Grande article
- the stuff about her returning to her Dangerous Woman Tour after the Manchester Arena bombing either in that article, in the Dangerous Woman Tour article or elsewhere?
I'm not sure either way. If you think so, please feel free to go ahead and add whatever you think is appropriate. Happy editing! -- Ssilvers (talk) 09:39, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- I think that it would be more suitable to add these kinds of source in the Dangerous Woman Tour article since it's about the whole project of touring while Manchester Arena bombing article focuses more on the 'accident'. Just my opinion~ :) --U990467 (talk) 20:00, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, yes, that makes sense. I feel like I have done enough editing at the tour article, and people are tired of me there. Would you mind going ahead to add whatever you think is appropriate there, citing the People article? Thanks for any help! -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:21, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- I've done some. --U990467 (talk) 13:23, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
- Good work! I've streamlined it a bit, since Flores is not a notable person himself, and Refinery29 is not as prominent a source as, say, Rolling Stone. But I think it conveys Grande's intention and character clearly. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:26, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

BTS discography
[edit]I don't understand why you changed the note style on BTS discography from upper-case to lower-case and also added a header when it's quite clear what is being tabulated in that section (which is also no other section on the page has), and I don't think it was to the benefit of the page, so I have restored the previous version. If you disagree, please take it to the talk page. I'm also asking you not to edit war over your changes as I know you have done this before. If you feel strongly, Talk:BTS discography is right there. Thank you. Ss112 13:11, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
- There is no rule about the note style on Wikipedia. Both upper-case and lower-case are used in various page (Rihanna discography and Taylor Swift discography). Since the scope for peak chart positions is already small, I don't want the table look overfull. Can you understand? Also, it's very illogical that JPN can represent Oricon in the 'Albums' section but can not do it in 'Singles' section. Oricon is a local chart system in Japan. The divide of JPN on the table is unnecessary. --U990467 (talk) 13:53, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
- I know what Oricon is, but there are two columns representing Japan (Oricon and the Billboard Japan Hot 100) in the singles section, whereas there's only one albums chart (run by Oricon). I didn't say there was a rule about the note style, I stated that it was an unnecessary change. Other pages can use both if they like, but I wouldn't say that's necessarily a great or correct thing to do. I think consistency amongst things like note style should play a part on any page. - Please don't just go back and restore your edits several days later when you think others have forgotten. The notes do not need to be changed to lower-case style, and "notes" does not need to be called "footnotes". If you disagree, take it to the article talk page. Thank you. Ss112 23:38, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
Merry and Happy
[edit]Just wanted to let you know that I reverted your edit on the Twicetagram page. This is the reason: I’m not saying Merry and Happy was a Single just because it got a Music Video. It got promoted by TWICE in many instances. However, these promotions were not big enough for it to be considered a single. It did get an MV today though and a MV in the K-Pop industry is a big deal. A music video and the previous promotion was enough for it to be considered a single in my opinion, however if my opinion is wrong please tell me. No previous TWICE singles got a digital single nor physical (except for One More Time which was not included in an album) and most days K-Pop songs are not specifically released to K-Pop radio. Note on Camila Cabello discography
[edit]It doesn't matter if the Kane Brown version didn't chart on Billboard. The note is there because the version with Kane Brown was also released as a single. Listings of singles on discographies do not rely on what charted or what charts denote the artist as. Never Be the Same (Camila Cabello song) has sourced statements that the version with Kane Brown was released as a single, as was the original solo version of the song. That's all it's there for. If you disagree, do not revert again, take it to the talk page. That's how WP:BRD works. Thank you. Ss112 08:02, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Real Friends official artwork.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Real Friends official artwork.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Camila Cabello discography
[edit]I just noticed your edit from last month on Camila Cabello discography. You seem to be the under mistaken impression that WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is a reason when it's not, and that discographies function solely or even primarily as lists of chart positions. They don't. That's not what "discography" means, so if you think charts are the focus of a discography on Wikipedia you've gotten a very wrong idea. Discographies are a list of an artist's releases, so it is irrelevant what chart compilers have listed. The credit is there only to say the single was released in solo and collaborative versions. The note doesn't apply to what charts are beside it because charts are not the focus of a discography. Also, do not change a note's wording to twist and suit your own agenda. That's not going to stop anybody from reverting you to restore the way the page was first. Discuss before restoring and get consensus. I know you don't like to open discussions on talk pages very much, but that's the way Wikipedia works when there's disagreement. WP:BRD. Thank you. Ss112 08:34, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
Dua Lipa discography
[edit]Please stop disregarding commented-out notes on articles. You've done this countless times on various discographies. "Scared to Be Lonely" can hardly be considered a single from the complete edition of Dua Lipa considering it came out in early 2017. "One Kiss" may yet appear as a single on a Calvin Harris album; Lipa compiling it on a reissue of her self-titled album does not make it a single from that album. Please start proposing contentious changes on the talk page. If nobody objects, then perhaps later on, add your changes to the article. Thank you. Ss112 14:22, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

Don't stylize titles in prose
[edit]Since you're apparently a big Itzy fan now, just letting you know that in regards to this edit you made (on a page I created, by the way), we don't stylize titles in prose. We note it once in the lead and that's it. Don't add stylizations elsewhere. I'm aware It'z Different is a single album that contains "Dalla Dalla", but since It'z Different is not the focus of the article nor the title of said article, it should not be stylized. See WP:TMRULES. Thanks. Ss112 05:45, 8 August 2019 (UTC)

BDZ
[edit]Please to U990467. Stop removing bdz to promotional single, bdz was Twice lead single for their 1st japan album. This was the source http://sp.twicejapan.com/news/detail/271 Dora1894 (talk) 11:56, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
- Digital release doesn't mean it's an official single. Like I Want You Back. I speak Japanese. The source you put didn't cite it as a single but a track.--U990467 (talk) 12:04, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
Stop edit warring
[edit]For someone who has been blocked for violating WP:3RR, I don't know why you feel so emboldened to continue edit warring with users, but you need to stop before an admin is informed of your continued tendentious editing. This back-and-forth with Dora1894 about what is a single and what is not needs to stop. You act like you own Twice's articles across Wikipedia when, really, it's entirely unjustified as you've really had little to with creating or substantially expanding many of them—and even if you have, you still don't own them. Nobody does, so knock it off. Also, you are the one who changed the text on "BDZ (song)" from being a single in the first place. So as you were reverted, that means you take it to the talk page per WP:BRD. I would advise you do that in future before you are warned and blocked again. News flash: Nobody cares if you speak Japanese, sources are never consistent with what is classified as a single and what is not. Ss112 07:41, 22 September 2019 (UTC)

[edit]November 2019
[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Dua Lipa discography. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Coming on to pages where things have already been decided upon and changing them because you disagree is not the way to do things here. It was already decided upon those songs were not from Dua Lipa; you don't get to change that without consensus. Also, I am sure you can make about 20 less edits. Stop flooding pages with your excessive contributions, nobody cares. Revert again or show any tendency to want to edit war, and an admin will be informed of your actions.
