The article Sean Gallagher (Presidential Candidate) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Nat Gertler (talk) 15:02, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
Block and unblock
[edit]I blocked this editor after I looked at the edits on Sean Gallagher (businessman) and Sean Gallagher (Political Candidate) (since moved to Seán Gallagher). I believed, incorrectly, that this user was a sock of User:Cathallee. They were connected, but not the same user. Both users were inexperienced and were trying to get the "businessman" article replaced with the "Political Candidate" article by deleting the former and when unsuccessful, creating the latter while the former still existed. I have straightened that whole mess out, adding some mess of my own, and have unblocked this user. I did not make any determination as to User:Cathallee's editing, as it was so limited, nor did I look at the article beyond the procedural questions of what articles should exist under what names. The block was a result of a misunderstanding and I now believe it was not warranted. I have discussed with this editor the need to ensure there is an NPOV, no COI, and that there is verification through reliable third-party sources.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 22:20, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
