ICan Benefit Group
[edit]A7 provides for deletion of articles that do not assert why they are notable. The only thing that came close to such an assertion is that Billy Mays has endorsed the group. In my mind, this is not enough of an assertion. If you would like, I can restore the content to a subpage of yours, and you can work on it there without any interference or deadlines. Let me know what you'd like to do. seresin ( ¡? ) 00:58, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply. I'm a bit puzzled here. I've read hundreds of Wikipedia articles; generally, even if they're about a company or product, they are strictly informational and do not make any overt assertions about why they are notable. Can you please provide an example of such an assertion? Also, Billy Mays and his marketing tactics are quite controversial - there is a considerable amount of discussion on the web regarding his style and the products he promotes - a google blog search on his name reveals this. Furthermore, it is extremely rare for a tv personality like him to promote something like health insurance, when he typically promotes cheap products like super absorbent towels. Perhaps mention of this oddity, which has sparked significant discussion, would serve as an assertion of notability? Sethdillon (talk) 13:27, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Also, can you please send me (or post a link to) the content that was deleted? Thank you Sethdillon (talk) 15:31, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- The article made no claim as to why it is is important. Merely being endorsed by a celebrity is not significant. If you have evidence that third-parties have given significant note to the group, the article could exist (note that the link to PRWeb in the article does not count, as it is self-published). I have e-mailed you a copy of the deleted material. seresin ( ¡? ) 17:34, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Would it be helpful to note that there is an ongoing debate over whether or not low-cost health insurance is really worth it? A recent article in Businessweek discusses iCan Benefit objectively, addressing this ongoing debate in the industry. Would linking to this article as a reference establish the necessary notability? edit summaries and article talk pages
[edit]I've been watching the slow motion edit war at Billy Mays. (I'm not an admin, I just watch that page.) I noticed today that you reverted the iCan entry again without leaving an edit summary, then left a note on the other user's talk page asking him why he kept reverting your change. His edit summaries consistently point to a discussion about this disagreement on the article's talk page. Pleae join that conversation to reach consensus about this change. Please try to leave a meaningful edit summary when you make changes; it helps your fellow editors understand your actions. And please be mindful of our policy on personal attacks and discuss the edits, not the editor. ("You are beginning to annoy me." is not helpful and stifles the discussion on consensus.) Thanks, Celestra (talk) 15:14, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- I appreciate the comment; I wasn't aware that there was a discussion occurring regarding those changes. However, I do not believe that stating one's annoyance is equivalent to a "personal attack." To my thinking, a personal attack is name calling or vicious commentary about someone. Though my comment could be taken the wrong way, I assure you it wasn't mean as an "attack." I do appreciate the comments though, as I'm new to this whole process and still learning the ropes. Thanks, Sethdillon (talk) 18:19, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- Fair enough; you meant it as more of an expression of frustration than an attack. Sorry for interpreting it more harshly and I'm glad the rest was useful. Regards, Celestra (talk) 01:50, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of InteractiveMD
[edit]A tag has been placed on InteractiveMD, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ShockMetric 19:24, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of BluntCard
[edit]A tag has been placed on BluntCard requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Bluntcardlogo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Bluntcardlogo.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 22:41, 30 April 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:41, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Zbiddy logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Zbiddy logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:38, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Zbiddy
[edit]You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Zbiddy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Hi. You added a reply to NawlinWiki in their archive. Most folks don't check their archives. If I were you, I'd create a new thread on their talk page and ask that the article be "userfied". Once it's userfied, it'll be moved as a subpage of your userpage and you'll be able to edit it there and add references. Once it's ready, you should ask that the article be reviewed before moving it back to article space. Good luck.--v/r - TP 22:45, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. I did also post to NawlinWiki's talk page, but I haven't received a reply there either. I didn't know about the option to make articles "userfied" - I will add a request for that. Thanks very much for taking the time to offer help. Sethdillon (talk) 18:00, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, missed the request for userfication. The article is now in your userspace at User:Sethdillon/Zbiddy. I suggest that you try and find sources that show the notability of Zbiddy itself (not just pay-to-bid auction sites in general). NawlinWiki (talk) 11:23, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll work on it. Appreciate the reply. Sethdillon (talk) 12:45, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of TrueFACS
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on TrueFACS requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The file File:Mdlivecare.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Willy1018 (talk) 07:38, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
