FAI League of Ireland 2008 Tables
[edit]Hi, to edit the tables, as you asked, all you have to do is edit these templates Template:FAI League of Ireland Premier Division 2008 Table, Template:First Division 2008 Table and Template:'A' League Championship 2008 Tables. Abc183 (talk) 01:05, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Score updates
[edit]I greatly appreciate your daily updates on scores. Keep up the good work! Nevertheless, a small piece of advice (:-)): Before updating, check via "history" if the scores have already been updated since some articles like the Russian Premier League are usually updated quickly, often by the same users (here: Artyom). Again, many appreciations! Hockey-holic (talk) 22:36, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Leagues in need for updaters
[edit]That's pretty hard to say, especially because a) most of Europe's leagues are still in their summer break and b) I have been a regular Wikipedian for just over a couple of weeks and therefore don't know any regular updaters.
As one rule of thumb I would assume that the greater the distance of a country from the core of the European Union, the more its league does need an updater. Another rule of thumb is that the lower a country's position within the coefficients list, the higher is the non-update rate. Notable exceptions from those rules are (as far as I know) Armenia, Croatia, Estonia, Israel and Macedonia; probably there might be more like Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, I don't know yet. Delay for updating Formuladeildin (Faroe Islands) requested
[edit]Hello Rougue,
could you please delay today's update for the Faroe Islands' Formuladeildin? I am currently working on a set of results boxes for that league. Hockey-holic (talk) 15:54, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Got ICQ, AIM or MSN?
[edit]If so, and if you would like to be contacted (in order to have easier communication when updating the leagues), send me an e-Mail via my user page with your contact data. :-) Cheers, Hockey-holic (talk) 19:08, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Opinion welcomed
[edit]Soccer-holic and I are trying to improve league articles in general, especially when talking about colors used in league standings. We are thinking that codes (colors) should be unified and used in the same way in all articles. So take a look at this Soccer-holic's subpage: User:Soccer-holic/League season article, which explains parts which every league articles should consist of, as well as using the colors in the right order and code. Please leave your comments and improvements (if needed) so we can take the final proposal to the community on Wikipedia:WikiProject Football.
EDIT: Please post your comments here. SonjiCeli (talk) 15:18, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Maltese Premier Division 2009-10
[edit]Nice to see the article being updated regularly. One thing puzzles me, though: I noticed home/away records, and apparently they were added by you. Considering that Gozo FC is the only team in Maltese football that has traditional home and away games, I wonder what the point is in distinguishing home/away results, when the games are played on neutral ground. Wouldn't the correct procedure be to add only record wins for "home" *and* "away" results combined? Malta1978 (talk) 00:02, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Europa League spots for Andorra in 2010-11 season
[edit]I have spotted your edit on the 2009–10 Primera Divisió for a long time, and noticed that you always change the Europa League qualification. UEFA has officially announced that Andorra will have three Europa League spot, with one go to the cup winners, which qualify for second qualifying round, and the remaining two from the league, in first qualifying round. If you have further problems, please contact me instead of doing work for your own. Raymond "Giggs" Ko 17:55, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:40, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
A draft for 2011 Finnish Cup...
[edit]...is available at User:Soccer-holic/Sandbox. The only thing missing there is the data for all the matches, plus the occasional section introduction; feel free to assist if you like. :-)
However, there is a small concern with the date column in the match tables. I designed it to be sortable for obvious reasons, but unfortunately, this is only done correctly if the date has the unfamiliar "yyyy-mm-dd" format. The application of any sorting templates will not work because of Mediawiki software restrictions (for details, please see Template:Dts), so what should we do? Possibilities include using the unfamiliar, but correctly sorting format above, using the regular "d mmmm yyyy" format with incorrect sorting, and leaving the date column out of the table altogether. --Soccer-holicI hear voices in my head... 22:41, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Puerto Rico league seasons
[edit]Greetings,
I've been told that you've been working on several CONCACAF league season articles. Last night I came across 2010 Puerto Rico Soccer League season and it needed help. I did what I could, but I can actually use some help clarifying what it is. See, according to the league's official website, the 2010 season was called the Súper Copa DirecTV. The Súper Copa DirecTV would "(translated from Spanish) substitute the PRSL season for this year, giving way for a re-launch in 2011 with the Apertura and Clausura tournaments" (if you can read Spanish, see here and scroll to the bottom to "Nace la Súper Copa DirecTV"). It's a competition with PRSL teams and is sanctioned by the PRSL, but it seems not to be an actual PRSL season, per say. With that information/statement, what do we call PRSL's 2010 or that competition so the article is accurate? Maybe you know of a source that add some more information that'll help. Thanks in advance. Score updates
[edit]I greatly appreciate your weekly updates with the Norwegian Premier League. Keep up the good work! However, on two different occasions recently (Stabæk-Tromsø and Tromsø-Brann), the result has been added to the table twice. So as Hockey-holic wrote 3 years ago : "Before updating, check via "history" if the scores have already been updated". Mentoz86 (talk) 22:10, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. When you recently edited 2011–12 Mexican Primera División season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Andres Mendoza (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Finnish League and Cup articles
[edit]Hi Rougue1987. I am making contact with those Editors that take an active interest in Finnish football on English Wikipedia.
For a long time I have been happy to work on Finnish football on Wikipedia without making contact with other Finnish football enthusiasts - basically I like preparing articles / undertaking tasks that interest me and contact with others has not been important. However recently some of my work was changed by a Wikipedia Reviewer and this has led me to question what approach I should be following and indeed what approach would other Finnish football enthusiasts wish to adopt?
The current issue I face is the naming of Finnish Football League and Cup pages. I have adopted the approach that we should always be using the Finnish name in the title, for example 2007 Ykkönen and 2001 Veikkausliiga. However, I am aware that words like Mestaruussarja mean very little to most English speaking Wikipedia users. I therefore have included the English name in the title as well in recent pages, for example, 1936 Mestaruussarja – Finnish League Championship, 1938 Suomensarja – Finnish League Division 2 and 2000 Kakkonen – Finnish League Division 2. I thought that this approach might be a suitable naming convention until the Reviewer changed "2012 Suomen Cup - Finnish Cup" back to 2012 Finnish Cup.
The basic question I am asking is whether Finnish League and Cup articles should have a Finnish or English title or some form of hybrid?
I provide examples below:
I have read Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) and Wikipedia:Article titles but have not reached a firm conclusion yet on the best way forward in establishing a consistent approach. The issue does matter with respect to the corrections I must make to existing pages and the tens of pages yet to be prepared. It could also carry implications for some of the articles that you currently contribute to. I think that the matter would best be addressed on a proper basis and encourage that the issue is considered on the Talk Page of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Finland task force. If the matter is of concern to you as well, please add your name to the list of participants on the main page. You may also wish to comment on the project structure that I have prepared.
