Still interested in being adopted?
[edit]Hi Nowthis, my name is Howicus. I ran across your userpage via the Category of Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user. I'm an adopter myself, and I'd be happy to mentor you if you're still interested. If you're interested, just respond on this page, directly below my note. Oh, and welcome to Wikipedia! Yes! Hi, Howicus. Many thanks. I am still interested in getting some mentoring. I have been doing some minor editing, but I'm overwhelmed by all the info on policy and procedures, and I could use direction. I'm not interested in writing new articles, but I would like to contribute to clean-up and maintenance. Thanks again for your reply. --Nowthis (talk) 21:53, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, good to hear it. I've got a page set up with tasks designed to help you find your way around. Whenever you want to start, take a look at User:Howicus/Adoption school, specifically the "Your first task" section. Start whenever you like, just let me know when you do. - Howicus, I've set up that nowthis/adoption school page, beginning at the beginning.Nowthis (talk) 00:18, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- Alright. I've added a question for you on the adoption page. Other than that, you can work through the modules at your own pace. Contact me on my talk page if you have questions, or I'm often on the Wikipedia help chat #wikipedia-en-help connect, if you'd like to talk to me directly. Adoption? Or not. Up to you
[edit]Hello Nowthis. Just dropping you a note because you haven't edited the adoption school in some time. I'm wondering if you're still interested in continuing the adoption process. If you're not, it's fine; you appear to be more of a copy edit/fixing editor anyway. Just let me know if I should take you off the list :). Happy editing. - Thanks for checking in with me. I am having a good time editing. This suits me, for now, and I hope I'm making good decisions. But, don't take me off your list! I'm sure I'll want to continue with your adoption school in a while.
- Alright then, the page will be there whenever. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 01:34, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Epithet may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
