Hey, thanks for the cookie! Are there any specific articles you're looking to improve? I was going through The Hunger Games universe to try to clean it up; if you know the books well, you could add some citations to page numbers. On the character article I original had just the notable ones who affected Katniss and/or the plot...but the fans insist on adding every single tribute and how they died. I'm not sure if there's another way to enforce that. Best, Glimmer721 talk 21:08, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Percy Jackson Task-force

[edit]

Hi, I'm looking to help re-activate the Percy Jackson Task-force. I know you haven't been active on Wikipedia for a little while, but I wanted to extend an invitation for you to work with me to do this anyway. If you are no longer interested, I'd appreciate your taking the time to remove your username from the "Supporters" list here. And thanks for all you did before!

If you are interested, firstly I'd like to invite you to become a full member, as the requirements for membership are going to be lowered in the near future (I know they scared me away on the first try). I would also ask you to consider a proposal I have, which is that this task-force become the "Rick Riordan" task-force. I've suggested this because I think it would help keep the project active and also help stop some pretty widespread vandalism in articles referring to that author. My proposal in brief. I'm a relatively new Wikipedian, so I'd appreciate the advice and expertise of a more experienced user. Thanks again in advance, and feel free to contact me on my Talk page. 2ReinreB2 (talk) 01:44, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, LovelyEdit! Thanks so much for getting back to me about this proposal -- and no problem that it took so long. As far as the name change goes, WP:PJTF reached consensus late last month and is now in the process of becoming WP:RRTF. Most of the project's pages have been successfully moved to the new name, and our parent project knows what's going on (theoretically, at least -- there hasn't been much communication, positive or negative, but they have definitely been informed). There's still a lot to do though, and we'd welcome any advice or help you could provide, regardless of whether you're still interested in being a supporter. I have a running to-do list which can be found here. A lot of what's left seems to be in uncharted territory -- mainly because, as far as I can tell, there is no precedent for renaming a task-force.
I hope that answers some of your questions. Once again, WP:PJTF/RRTF (whichever you prefer) would love if you'd like to join, but still no hard feelings if you're not interested. Please leave a message here, on my talk page, or at the Rick Riordan task force forums if you'd like more details. Thanks one last time for your interest, and happy editing! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 03:54, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there one last time, LovelyEdit! Just letting you know that we are pretty much fully transitioned to our new name. Thanks for your support; it went off without a hitch! We're working on some new outreach methods now, including some userboxes which I can adapt to fit supporters (not just explicit members) if you're ever interested. (Edit: Wow, that was some shameless advertising. 8| I meant that I'd be happy to adapt something cool for you to use, no membership required, not that I'm some genius userbox-er. ) Happy editing! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 04:43, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Wikify: Current Backlog Reduction Plan

[edit]

Hey, I noticed you marked yourself as a member of WikiProject Wikify and you are currently listed as active. I was wondering if you would be able to assist with our current backlog reduction plan. While traditional drives are more structured month-long sprints by WikiProject Wikify members, there is currently lacking activity within the project and in order to significantly reduce the incredible backlog, members are encouraged to review all articles marked with the Underlinked Template Message - {{underlinked}} - a list of which can be found here - to analyze the worthiness of the template message on the given article. Articles that have nothing to link or are have had wikilinks sufficiently added should have the template removed to clear the backlog and make it easier for editors to find articles in genuine need of wikification. This can be done by any editor; however, all editors should consider joining if they haven't done so already. Thank you!

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:41, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Custom signature fix needed

[edit]

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. Changes to Wikipedia's software have made your current custom signature invalid.

The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error or obsolete HTML tags.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, you can fix your signature, or you can do nothing.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (Do not click the red "Restore all default settings" button, which will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Click the Learn more button next to the error to learn how to fix the error.
  3. Update your signature to fix the error.
  4. Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.

Solution 3: Do nothing:

  1. In accordance with a recent request for comment, all invalid signatures will be changed to the default, which looks like "Example (talk)", one month from now.

If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:05, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Happy First Edit Day!
