Clark Brewster - Publication[edit]

Hi Liance - I was recently hired to create Clark Brewster's wikipedia page draft. I made all of the suggestions you made when reviewing the article and resubmitted the draft. Are you willing to re-review this publication for me? Thank you! BDOklahoma24 (talk) 16:06, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@BDOklahoma24: Usually I do not re-review drafts by request but I did take a brief look and I'm not entirely convinced the current draft meets WP:NBIO comfortably from its sourcing. I would recommend you read WP:THREE and identify the three best sources that clearly satisfy the biography notability, and leave a comment on the draft indicating this for reviewers which can help speed up the process significantly. ~Liancetalk 13:31, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Thank you for the guidance Liance. BDOklahoma24 (talk) 16:51, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination of BBL Drizzy[edit]

Hello! Your submission of BBL Drizzy at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) at your nomination's entry and respond there at your earliest convenience. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Rjjiii (talk) 14:59, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The "unknowingly" part of the hook fact just needs to be added to the article somewhere using the citation from the nomination. Rjjiii (talk) 15:00, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Claytoos (20:49, 12 June 2024)[edit]

Hello, can I create a profile for someone on Wikipedia? --Claytoos (talk) 20:49, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Claytoos: Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I can see you've already created a draft which is a great way to create a new article. Feel free to work on your article there. Once you are satisfied with it and have ensured it meets the notability criteria for biographies you can submit it for review, and another editor will accept it for publication if it looks good. Best, ~Liancetalk 13:38, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the encouragement.
How do I add picture to my draft or should I submit the article for review without a picture? Claytoos (talk) 12:54, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Claytoos: If your picture does not contain non-free content you can add it to your draft by using the upload wizard and linking it to your page. Otherwise you will have to wait for publication first. ~Liancetalk 12:48, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks once again. Claytoos (talk) 15:41, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question on election article![edit]

Open to advice the article Draft:2024 South African presidential election, especially if there's any way to request an expedited review. The election is expected to occur in two days; Wikipedia is not a newspaper, but I vaguely recall that articles can be created quickly for major events. Not sure what criteria would govern whether this election qualifies. Keferbean1001 (talk) 23:27, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Keferbean1001: Seems like another reviewer has accepted it in the meantime and the article has been published. Thanks for contributing! ~Liancetalk 12:11, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Alarab.pk (21:10, 13 June 2024)[edit]

Question from ZsofiaAlfonso (19:42, 14 June 2024)[edit]

Hi - How would I add a page? --ZsofiaAlfonso (talk) 19:42, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@ZsofiaAlfonso: Welcome! I've left some helpful links on your talk page. I would take a look at Your first article which is a good overview of the creation process. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best, ~Liancetalk 12:13, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Gina Purce on Wikipedia:Username policy/RFC 2024 (03:37, 16 June 2024)[edit]

Hello I want to create a page dedicated to my late father Bobby Winder Aka Robert Figan Winder Fo a long time he was in the Mark James Trio . With Mark James and Joey Long. --Gina Purce (talk) 03:37, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Gina Purce: Welcome to Wikipedia! I've left some helpful links on your talk page. Help:Your first article covers much of the article creation process. Please note that Wikipedia is not a memorial service and your subject needs to meet the notability criteria for persons to have an article published about them. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best, ~Liancetalk 12:46, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You recently decline my submission to Andrew Carnegie Fellows I submitted from my sandbox. Is it possible to give me guidance make it acceptable. thanks, Ronald Sexont Ronald Sexton (talk) 14:24, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

as for new sources I found this from the American Political Science Association:
Congratulations to the Political Science Scholars Elected into the 2024 Class of the Andrew Carnegie Fellowship Program
I would very much wish to get this item out of my sandbox.
thanks,
Ron Sexton Ronald Sexton (talk) 13:54, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ronald Sexton: I would review WP:NCORP and ensure that your subject meets the outlined criteria clearly, and add the necessary references to your article to ensure that this is apparent to reviewers. You are free to resubmit the draft once you have made the changes. Best, ~Liancetalk 17:49, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from StateOfTheArt[edit]

You recently left a note on a Draft I've been working on advising me to get an admin to delete the Wii Karaoke U redirect. Do you know how to get an admin to do this? StateOfTheArtTV (talk) 19:34, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@StateOfTheArtTV: Seems like you've already figured it out. Nice work - thank you for contributing! ~Liancetalk 17:50, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bitzino draft[edit]

Hi lance, Thank you for your help reviewing my draft Bitzino article, and for letting me know that Forbes contributor articles are not acceptable. Here are three other quality sources. 1. Farivar, Cyrus (2013-01-23). "Bitcoin-based casino rakes in more than $500,000 profit in six months". Ars Technica. Retrieved 2024-06-18. 2. "Bitcoin casino on track to earn nearly one million per year". Digital Trends. 2013-01-23. Retrieved 2024-06-18. 3. "The Weird and Wonderful History of Bitcoin Casinos". 8 August 2023. Bitzino is also refrenced in several academic journals and in a PwC thought leadership piece. Hope this helps with your review. Thanks, gerry Gerrybo80 (talk) 01:07, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Gerrybo80: Please copy your message to your draft article's talk page (click) so reviewers can reference this info. ~Liancetalk 17:52, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Bryantho (18:52, 18 June 2024)[edit]

Hi, I'm hoping to add some additional info to the page of the organization I work for. I oversee our historical archives department and we find new info about our history from time to time. For example we now know who the japanese gardener was who designed the japanese gardens here at the Morris Arboretum & Gardens in Philadelphia. --Bryantho (talk) 18:52, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Bryantho: Welcome to Wikipedia! You are able to directly edit the article, but please note that you have a conflict of interest (most editors would discourage you from making these edits) and if you are making edits on behalf of your employer you will have to follow the paid disclosure process. All information you add to an article must also be backed by a reliable source to follow our verifiability guidelines. Hope this helps. ~Liancetalk 17:58, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Hankow idk (17:37, 20 June 2024)[edit]

Hello! I’m creating an article on the British concession of Hankow and I experiencing some difficulties. I can’t figure out how to format my text so that it appears to be on the left of the Infobox I added. When I write my article, it is always on top of the Infobox. Can you help me please? --Hankow idk (talk) 17:37, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Hankow idk: Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with how to format that. I left a link to the Teahouse on your talk page which might be a good place to ask. Best, ~Liancetalk 18:01, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Migzulueta.ph (08:50, 22 June 2024)[edit]

Hello. I'm trying to edit biographical information about my father. --Migzulueta.ph (talk) 08:50, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Migzulueta.ph: Welcome! If your father has an article already, you can edit it directly, but you clearly have a conflict of interest and may want to refrain from doing so. In addition any information you add must be backed up by a reliable source for verifiability. ~Liancetalk 18:04, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bettering[edit]

Hi! What can I do to make sure my draft will be accepted? StellaAlpina12 (talk) 17:47, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@StellaAlpina12: On my decline I commented that the draft includes no inline citations meaning that the content and notability of the subject cannot be verified. Please convert your external links & unformatted references to inline citations and resubmit. See WP:REFB for help. ~Liancetalk 18:07, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Persian Wikipedia Article for this Anthem has more sources and information. But since Persian is written in the Arabic Script (which is written from right-to-left), I might make errors copying them over. Can you do it for me? Ironzombie39 (talk) 00:32, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Gia Walsh[edit]

Thank you for your message regarding my Article for Creation Gia Walsh. It was mentioned by another editor that notability is not inherited. The movie producer is mostly notable via the movies they have brought to the screen. I have added more citations to this effect. I value your comments regarding whether this is adequate or approaching adequate. Many thanks Mgenzac (talk) 21:05, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for BBL Drizzy[edit]

On 25 June 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article BBL Drizzy, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Metro Boomin unknowingly sampled a song created with generative artificial intelligence in the diss track "BBL Drizzy"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/BBL Drizzy. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, BBL Drizzy), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Psychomodulatory substances wikipage review[edit]

Hi Liance, thank you for reviewing my draft on Psychomodulatory subtances, a potential new legal category of psychoactive substnaces in the Czech Republic, and a potential new drug policy framework.

I just extensively added missing references, and edited text as per other reviewers request.

Is it sufficiently referenced now to be accepted as a pulbished Wikipedia article?

PS. The last paragraph about the origin of the name has no references as of now. It is taken from the original wikipage in Czech, where it doesnt have references either, but I as well as the author of the Czech text know it is true because we have been around these happenings. A scientific article on this topic is in currenlty in preparation, and once pulbished, I will add the respective missing references for this paragraph, as well as additional ones elsewhere in the text. If it is preferable to meanwhile delete this section altogether, and add it back once the publication exists, please let me know. Jiny333 (talk) 19:49, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
