Samantha Chapman

Samantha Chapman is a makeup artist based in Norwich. She went to The College of West Angilia and studied 2 year BTEC in Make-up and Hairdressing and tutored by Louise Young[1]. Along with make-up gigs she runs make-up courses with her sister Nicola. October 2008 they started a vlog on YouTube under the name pixiwoo where they post hair and make-up tutorials from Avant Garde to Natural looks as well as reviews on various beauty products[2].

Chapman is a mother of 2 and lives in Norwich, England. She has one sister Nicola and two brothers James and John.

Career

Chapman has been a make-up artist for 15 years and is wellknown on YouTube. Her channel has had over 50 million hits. Chapman was part of the MAC Pro team for a years often traveling for various shows like fashion week in Milan and Paris. She has worked with photographers Tony McGee, Nick Knight and Lord Snowdon. Her work has appeared in Harpers, Tatler, Brides, Elle, Cosmo, Company, The Sunday Times and Sunday Telegraph. Chapman has also worked with celebrities such a Sir Paul McCartney, Peaches Geldof, Ashley Tisdale, Charlotte Church and Myleene Klass.

Real Techniques

Chapman was contacted by Paris Presents (the makers of eco tools and other beauty products) to develop an affordable Make-up Brush Line called Real Techniques. Chapman was able to collaborate with this U.S. based team without making any business trips to create each brush. The team worked through conference calls and sent Chapman samples for her to approve or critique. The Brushes are 100% cruelty-free made of synthetic taklon and not tested on animals. Each brush head is hand-cut and the brush collection works with a wide variety of makeup products from powders to creams and liquids[3]. The Real Techniques line launched March 2011 in ULTA stores and on Real Techniques.com. Chapman is still working to create new brushes for the line. The Real Techniques website also includes video tutorials, by Samantha Chapman, on how to create various make-up looks using the brushes.

Pixiwoo

October 2008 Samantha Chapman began producing makeup tutorials on YouTube under the name Pixiwoo. Her sister Nicola joined a few months after. Together they have produced over 300 videos for this channel. The channel includes tutorials and reviews of various beauty products.

PixiwooMadness

The Chapman sisters created this separate channel to upload various videos that they did not want on their main channel. This channel includes a few make-up tutorials as well most of which were developed for Avon's sales leaders and representatives.

RealTechniques

Chapman began another channel for her Real Techniques brush line. Through this channel she shows how to use each brush and how to create various looks with the brushes.
