Need help to discuss and get consensus on cast for Agent (film)

[edit]

Hello @Krishna.koundi. There are several editors persistently changing the cast list at Agent (film) and it is difficult to get agreement when changes are being made repeatedly. We could use your help. I am inviting you to participate in the discussion at Talk:Agent (film)#Cast section: seeking consensus. I would like to hear your thoughts on what the cast listing should and should not include and why. Will you join the conversation?  — Archer1234 (t·c) 20:36, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Archer1234 Yeah, thanks for the invitation, but I didn't watch the film. So I can't suggest the proper cast order in the film. Krishna.koundi (talk) 02:15, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

in the film this is the story of the main protagonist, "Mark" not the character "Time" he is a supporting role in an extended Cameo. If you want to know my edit correct you can check the media news reports on the film. 103.248.211.234 (talk) 04:22, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sreeleela. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. You have recently made several edits highlighting the languages of the actor's productions. Other users have changed the formatting of the article to make this unnecessary, and I have said as much in my reverts. If you persist in this type of edit without making any effort to discuss the issue, you may be blocked from further editing. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 13:59, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Revirvlkodlaku will you explain to me why it feels unnecessary? The edits are relevant to knowing the languages for the viewers, and it may further expand her work in other languages. Also, the column is necessary to put it that page. Krishna.koundi (talk) 14:15, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The table has a note above it that states that all films are in Telugu unless otherwise mentioned. Since most of her films are in Telugu, I believe this is sufficient.
I don't see how adding a separate column for languages could expand her work in other languages—you may need to explain that better.
Your edit summary states "fixing typo", which is blatantly false. You may not have intended it this way, but adding a false edit summary places your intentions in question and makes you seem deceitful. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 14:49, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Revirvlkodlaku ok I will change the status next time.. Krishna.koundi (talk) 14:53, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The main point here isn't the status (did you mean "edit summary"?) The main thing we are discussing is the manner in which you have been changing content without regard for other users, the fact that you've been reverted in the past (and are thus edit warring), or the guidelines on the page itself—the Filmography section states that "rowspans are only allowed for the 'Year' column", which you have disregarded. Your editing style is disruptive, and if you persist in this manner, your account may be blocked. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 15:57, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks!  — Archer (t·c) 01:59, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop re-ordering casts without providing a reliable, secondary source to support it as you did with this edit. Your edit has been undone. --Hammersoft (talk) 23:56, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Hammersoft kindly watch those films if you haven't watched yet..there is a credit given to them..please check my edits are on proper.. Krishna.koundi (talk) 03:34, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No disrespect intended, but I am not interested if you think your edits are proper. I'm interested in what reliable, secondary sources indicate. If you can't find sources to support your changes, your changes will not sustain. It also doesn't matter what order the movies themselves place them in. This might seem bizarre, but it's true. What has come to light is that the same movie distributed in different places in South Asia have different cast orders. There is no 'right' order in such cases. Thus, changing it to some perceived/preferred version typically continues an effective edit war that goes on for years. This is highly disruptive. Efforts have been made by a number of editors for years to try to force their preferred versions based on the version of the movie they saw. It doesn't sustain. Please, stop. --Hammersoft (talk) 14:35, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Despite what I noted above, you continue to disruptively change cast order without providing a reliable, secondary source, such as you did here. The changes you are making, along with changes like this where you noted who did the voice dubbing, constitute original research. If you persist in adding material like this without providing reliable, secondary sources, you may be blocked from editing. If you have questions, ask. Continuing as you have is not acceptable. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:43, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I note that you were warned about the same behavior back in July 2023. You chose to ignore that warning then too, and continued attempting to push your preferred version [1][2]. Given the track record, along with a number of other warnings above about disruptive behavior, if you make such edits again in the future, I will make a report to WP:AN/I requesting you be blocked. Consider this a final warning in all respects. I recommend you re-read all the warnings given to you on your talk page above, taken them to heart, and if you don't understand them ASK without continuing them until you get clarification. If you choose to continue as you have been, you will be blocked. I hope you choose wisely. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:52, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have been observing so many times for the warning messages regarding of blocks in the page. My concerns regarding the I have been contributing for a good and proper content in the film editing I have not mentioned any wrong information regarding of the film editing I have mentioned some facts regarding of edits but I have not mentioned the facts basing on dubbing artists and other related but after watching the films I have mentioned in it. In my last messages I have received that the contents orders may change from the various movies in South asian films but what I have mentioned is mostly from the original work in the films. So please consider it as a mistake please consider my unblock. Krishna.koundi (talk) 03:52, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm not seeing a reason here to remove the block early. You will need to tell us what will change about your approach to editing- which should include a committment to be more collaborative and not proceed with edits, even if you think they are correct, once objections are raised with you. You should also tell us how you will work through objections. 331dot (talk) 08:49, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Personally, I don't think you're getting it. Just because you watch a movie doesn't mean you have the right information to add to an article. As I noted previously, there are different distributions of a movie. Further, watching the movie and then making changes to the articles based on your observations of the movie constitutes original research. We do not accept that. See Wikipedia:No original research. I have repeatedly asked you to provide reliable, secondary sources for your changes, but you keep insisting on making your changes without providing such sources. Wikipedia depends upon verifiability, not truth. We can't accept changes you make to an article just because you say it's true. Not mentioning "any wrong information" doesn't make your edits proper. Either you understand that, or you will very, very likely be blocked again. Further, when you are challenged on your edits and even given a final warning...yet insist on continuing with your edits anyway without discussing it more, you are essentially saying you have no desire to work collaboratively on a project that depends upon collaboration. You need to rethink your approach to this project. It's not you vs. the rest of the world. --Hammersoft (talk) 04:28, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Hammersoft OK fine I will make necessary corrections to the next time. Krishna.koundi (talk) 04:33, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
