[edit]Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Gospel music. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. ☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 14:41, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- Do not add African British people to a black American history page. They had nothing to do with gospel! You obviously not a black American, So stop. Thank you. Jayla2soundz (talk) 22:20, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- And what I wrote has nothing to do with my own personal view on anything. This is an actual fact. Gospel was wants called negro spiritual. So leave it be. Jayla2soundz (talk) 22:23, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
Hi Jayla2soundz! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Gospel music several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Gospel music, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war.
- The article is about gospel music as a universal musical genre, not specifically black American which does have an article, see Black gospel music.
- You continue to remove a lead sentence without justification and introduce spelling/grammatical errors despite marking edits as typo fixing.
- Additionally you have been asked to discuss desired changes on the article's talk page. Instead you keep placing the same information after being reverted (see WP:BRD).. ☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 22:30, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
