Thanks for uploading Image:Singermags.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. AlistairMcMillan 16:53, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I had been meaning to replace the primary image with a single, better image from issue GLC:R #5, and move the triptych further down the article, but didn't get around to it. I just did so now. Let me know what you think. :-) Nightscream 23:18, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:Oprah.PNG

[edit]
Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Oprah.PNG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Please remove "serial killer" from Aileen Wuornos' entry. A serial killer is someone who kills people at random, whereas Wuornos only killed men who were trying to rape her. This is self-defense, NOT serial killing. Do not refer to these rapists as "victims" either, call them rapists.

Biff_loman9 report on WP:RFI

[edit]

If you file a successful checkuser on the account and IPs (pointing out the personal attacks/vandalism) then I'll block the account for vandalism/personal attacks. Otherwise you're probably best off reporting individual IPs for blocking to WP:AIV, just as they are vandalising, to get the fastest response. You can briefly point out that there is a history of similar vandalism from other IPs accounts. Still better make sure they are appropriately warned though (see WP:TT for the standard templates). Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. I've given both you and MetaStar a 24 hour block for violating 3RR on Rachel Summers. When you return, I hope you both calm down and discuss the matter on the talk page and/or get an outside opinion. I just don't always feel like logging on. Stop replacing my pix, as they are superior to yours. You know it, and I know it. Oh, and by the way, "Dr" Bat, if you had a clue you'd know that Sympatico users in Ontario will all have IP addresses in 60s and 70s (and possibly others, I don't know), and everyone time we log on we have a new one; so, I can no more be blamed for any possibly vandalism of anonymous users from that area (of a possible ten million people) that I should be praised for any positive actions from those same anonymous users. Only once or twice since I created an account have I ever edited anonymously, and never for vandalism. You just don't like that I've replaced images you uploaded. It's not they're necessarily bad, but they've been up for a long time. Eventually, mine should be replaced as well. But not yet. Biff Loman 17:45, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Due to the fair use policy of Wikipedia, which states:

it has been decided that images derived from "model sheet" images from the following sources:

Re: Butterfly

[edit]
  1. Watermarked. Been through this.
  2. Top of head cut off. Been through this (and that's one of the reasons why I rejected that panel when looking for a new image. As for the other...)
  3. It's a headshot. Need more than that (I'd rather have had a whole-body shot. But there aren't any that aren't either distance-shots or under heavy shadow. I looked.

And, yeah, it is a little oversaturated on reflection. Little enough for it to be an easy fix tho without a rescan (It now matches the issue. And the preview image is bleached and slightly out-of-focus, as the watermarked ones usually are). And I don't see what you're talking about with the face. - SoM 00:32, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Colossus & Juggernaut Pics

[edit]

The Colossus Bloodline pic is a "solo" pic. Your pic has him surrounded by the astonishing X-Men that are greyed out... It's distracting. They're not the focus of the Colossus entry.

Also the current artist has no bearing on the pic. Otherwise the Wolverine SHB pic should be by someone that isn't Oliver Coipel (to name one). Marvel doesn't pick pictures of the the character by the book artist for their handbook entries.

As for the Juggernaut pic, most of the reasoning for colossus holds true for this one. Fading out Dazzler does not remove her from the pic. The previous pic (like colossus) is a solo pic, thus a better representation of just Juggernaut. Dstorres

  • Do we even need the Reload picture in the article in the first place?

I'd say so. She wore it (or a slight variation) from UXM #418 to XM #179 (plus her XML2 cameo) - that's got to be one of her longest serving costumes. Her original suit and the Erik the Red Shi'ar suit probably beat it in terms of time, but she wasn't being used reguarly for most of that time, and when she finally was (in X-Factor) she kept changing costumes. - SoM 02:12, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The article reads: His popularity surpassed Superman which left him depressed, feeling like a has-been. When it says, "left him depressed", who does the "him" refer to? Wonder Man or Superman? The way it reads, it looks like it refers to the former, which would make no sense. If it's the latter, then I think it should be clarified with a phrase like "the latter", or something. No worries. I'll try and keep an eye on it. This principle also applies to biographical material about living persons found anywhere in Wikipedia. I will be fixing the image again. Your image, while brighter has all the logos still implace. Mine there is no doubt where the image came from.Dstorres

You deleted my high quality version of the cover.

  • No I reverted to the original image that I uploaded. The image, while not as "bright" as yours is better because yours is blurry.

The image in question has been used as the variant cover for NXM #20, the X-23 Tpb & the X-Men Poster book. The TEXT ON THE IMAGE ITSELF says it comes from the poster book, while your description says it's the TPB cover. And you link to Marvel.Com for your source of your image, while they have no image for their solict of the x-23 tpb, meaning you got it somewhere else.

Take your pick. I will be fixing the image again. Your image, while brighter has all the logos still implace. Your image also has a logo. It's also of a poorer quality.

  • The logo is subdude so it doesn't stand out like your image.
  • If you edit the pic then I will gladly leave it alone.Dstorres

[edit]

This image isn't covered by fair use as there are alternatives (although I agree it is lot better than the one we currently have), and since it is copyrighted I'm nominating it for deletion. Yomangani 16:28, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree the current pictures (in both the shark and great white articles) are bad. Sourcing some decent free photos is on my list, but as you've discovered they are hard to find. (I'm not sure I agree that the shark article should be headed by a great white though: any common well-known shark would do). Yomangani 16:45, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Then I'd say it is good to show them another species (I figure any newcomers to the subject are likely to read the great white article in addition to the shark article anyway). I've swapped the blurry far-away image for a better one of an oceanic whitetip. What do you think? Yomangani 15:54, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You said: "One image is used to illustrate the subject of the article, the other is used to illustrate on of her more significant roles, as there should be at least one image illustrating one of the roles she's been in. At least keep the first one."

Any copyrighted image must have a detailed fair-use rationale justifying its use. Additionally, Image:Menasuvari.jpg may only be used to depict her character in American Beauty (if the source is correct), not solely to depict the actress. --Yamla 14:10, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spider-Man Teaser Poster

[edit]

It is your opinion. It is featured more heavily because it is older and it was the first picture. The info box is reserved for the official posters, and that one is a promotional poster. The official teaser poster that was released in theaters is the one that changes colors. That is what goes in the infobox, and when they release an official release poster that will take the place of the teaser poster. You can't just put the other one there because you see it more. The website is designed around the promotional poster because of what it implies in the film. Neither site has ever designed anything around the theatrical posters. Please reserve your judgement for yourself. The promotional poster stays at the bottom because it is "PROMOTIONAL". It isn't a teaser poster, because it wasn't released anywhere else. The teaser poster is what is in the infobox. Also, know how you can tell which is the promo image, because the all black one doesn't have a date of release on it, but the suit does. Stop labeling the other as a promo and the black one as the teaser, please learn the difference between the two. Bignole 13:45, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Like any holograph, if you stand at the right spot you can see the blending of all the images. If you click the picture you will see that all three "versions" of the suite are in the summary. The movie isn't just about the black suit, it's about his change from hero to anti-hero to almost criminal. That's why the picture changes and shows a blend of the two suits. The summary contains all three images. Maybe a side note could be added that explains that all three are in the summary for the picture. But the infobox is reserved for official posters, that's part of the manual of style for film pages. If it was possible I would say insert the quicktime time of the poster changing (that the website has), but I don't know if it is or how to do it. Bignole

License tagging for Image:Knightalone.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Knightalone.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hi, I saw you reverted my edits in the Magneto article. I edited because I understand that writing about fiction is supposed to be present tense and not past. I based this off of the article Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing_about_fiction). I don't see any info on making flashbacks past tense, as that kind of violates the out-of-universe perspective. These were good images, and they helped the article. I'm really saddened that they had to go. But the rule of thumb is that no more than three fair use images should be in any one article. I left six, and I know other copyright folks would say I shouldn't have left so many in - but it's a long article and they're really good images. But still, there's no way 20 would be acceptable under our fair use guidelines. Sorry about that. – Quadell (talk) (bounties) 17:49, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Lucybg.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lucybg.PNG. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Hi, DrBat. The website galactica.emedian.net is not the source for the images it uses, as it explains on its copyright notice. So, I would ask you to, generally speaking, avoid using images from that site. Let me know if you have any doubts. Best regards, --Abu Badali 20:10, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Callisto

[edit]

Please, just leave it alone. It's an old show, and there's no way to find the original source now.

It seems all your edits are just removing images or finding ways to get them removed. Its not like Universal Studio’s is going to sue Wikipedia because it has an image of Callisto on her wikipedia article. --DrBat 01:11, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but we do need to provide the source for any image we want to use. For instance, how could we verify the information that it's a promotional image without the source? Not that not all images found on the internet are promotional.
If the site is no longer available, you may want to try The Wayback Machine. But please, do not revert the {{no source}} tag without providing a verifiable source again as this can be considered vandalism. Best regards, --Abu Badali 02:02, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But finding the site I got it from wouldn't be good enough for you, because you want the original source.
Again, it seems all your edits are just removing images. And is it just me, or are going after all my edits now? --DrBat 13:09, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If the site you got it from is not the original source, how can you be sure this is an promotional image? How do you know, for instance, that the copyright holder didn't intended this image to be used only on the official site?
Yes, DrBat, by "source" we mean the publisher/copyright holder of the image, not just some random site that happens to use the image.
None of the urls you added to the image are valid sources. For instance, mirrorblue.com explicitly says "This article is used without permission..." and .tgd-inc.com says "DO NOT distribute or use these scans without permission". As a rule-of-thumb, fan-sites are very unlikely to be the original source for promotional images.
I'm removing that fan-sites urls from the image description pages and readding the {{no source}} tag for now. Unless you're completly sure about the image is a promotional image intended for wide distribution, and you can give some verifiable source for this claim, avoid removing the tag again. Thanks. --Abu Badali 01:07, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is starting to get ridiculous. What, do you think Universal Studios will sue Wikipedia because there's an image of Callisto on her article?
Why is it all your edits are just removing images and trying to get them deleted?--DrBat 01:20, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No. Indeed, I think that this would be a very unlikely outcome. If you think that Wikipedia's Fair use policy is ridiculous, my talk page is not the best place to voice your opinion. --Abu Badali 01:28, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Theclass.tvseries.jpg.

Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Abu Badali 22:41, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do not remove ifd notices.

[edit]

Please do not remove "image for deletion notices" from image description pages as you did in Image:Callistohudson.jpg [2]. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an image, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an image, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. --Abu Badali 23:01, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this image, in the deletion discussion you said:

Furthermore, the episode is from the episode "Return of Callisto", right after Callisto kills Perdicas and Xena arrives.

Did you perchance mean, "the image is from the episode..."? That's what I assumed, which would make this a derivative work of a screenshot from the episode. Please let me know. Thanks. howcheng {chat} 23:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Titans East

[edit]

You're now claiming Newsarama is wrong? No, I'm sorry. You're claiming DC comics mis-released the coloring for their own issue, as shown on their own friggen website? That's a very serious accusation, especially for something that hasn't even been released yet. Issue/week 10 of 52 was one thing, but this...

We're talking about some pretty blatent differences. Now, I changed what I worried was the application of a flase, fan-alteration cover. If you used that version with good intentions, I'm glad. However, I'd like you to provide a new source for it. That's something you should have done from the beginning, anyway. The current matches the image and size I used, though the JPG rip did have initial size issues. This new source should not only display the alternately colored image, but prove your claim. If you cannot, I'd recommend keeping things as I edited them. Either way, a final, officially released coloration can be apllied later if the one DC offered really doesn't match.

As for the size, I was just trying to offer the image as it was solicited. There will always be size issues when trying to show a smaller version in the article page, that's a given. In fact, large uploads are the very reason I believe shrinking (even in excess) is forgivable in articles. (Look at, say, Spider-Man 3.) When the image size in an article actually matches the upload size, for whatever reason, is when I really think something is wrong. It's kinda like links to commons. There's always be more images and details; it's to be expected. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 23:20, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image sizes

[edit]
I'd still recommend using the larger upload size. You're talking about details and resizing, yet you missing two contradictions. The image could be used on another article than Titans East and sized different. Also, the version you're using doesn't clearly show the detail of Bizarro Superboy's eyes—which seem to be heating up—or the bit of trash with the artist's sig. I'm sorry, but uploading to mix the article size is just stupid, for any reason. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 23:38, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I seriously wish you'd reconsider with these image sizes. First this, now Inertia. It's not wise. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 22:50, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry (Regarding Reno 911 Picture)

[edit]

Accidentally, I clicked on the "rev" button on the "Reno 911" photo, I then found out I reverted it to an earlier version, I tried to change it back to the original photo but with no luck, so I tried again and after a number of attempts I managed to revert it to the original one (the one before I pressed "rev")

Sorry for any inconveniences I may have caused you.

Image:Wiegelreno.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wiegelreno.PNG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Anamich.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Fair use rationale for Image:Moviebeast.jpeg

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Moviebeast.jpeg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Black Adam

[edit]

What exactly is the point of replacing the Black Adam sbox pic with the same image but in PNG format? --75.4.62.60 12:07, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

do you mean PNGs in general versus JPG, or the image you selected/found/scanned? because DC releases all their solicits in JPG format, so the only way you can get this images in PNG would be to resave them, which doesn't increase quality, it just makes the file size bigger. --75.4.62.60 04:25, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image violations

[edit]

I note that you have a huge number of violations of Wikipedia image copyright and fair-use policies. Please refrain from uploading any more images until you have fixed all the images you have already uploaded. If you don't want to fix a particular image, please mark it with {{db-author|Unable to provide mandatory information}}. Remember, images must be used according to their license and fair-use images must have the copyright holder identified, an accurate license, a detailed hand-written fair-use rationale for each use of the image, and must not be used to depict subjects which still exist. Thanks. --Yamla 20:31, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Please note that fair-use rationales must indicate which specific Wikipedia article you are justifying and should justify the use in that article. That is, where are you using this image and why must you use a copyrighted non-free image in that article? Remember, we may not use images simply to illustrate the article, though (at least with the images I've looked at), you are not doing so. --Yamla 20:52, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Africanamericans.PNG.

If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 20:34, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

Misanthropic fictional characters

[edit]

I've listified the two categories at List of fictional misanthropes. I noted that you had started a different sort of list; since there are already articles on all of these characters, another description of them isn't really necessary; a list of links to the articles is how it's usually done.

I just didn't want you to spend a lot more time on the list you started. Thanks.DomBot / ChiDom talk 01:56, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Bgemblem.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bgemblem.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Fair use rationale for Image:Astonishing6.jpg

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Astonishing6.jpg.

Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 23:55, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey. It's also used as an episode screen capture, I my self much prefer 16:9 character images (imo they flow much better) and so I don't upload alternate sizes. So sorry I personally wouldn't do it, I'm a firm believer it makes articles look inconsistent with lots of alternate hights. Looks like you've been a victim to BJBot as well - he got several of my orphaned uploads :-( thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 23:57, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:52 Cv17 solicit.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:52 Cv17 solicit.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This image is a duplicate of Image:52 17 CVR.PNG

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Image:52 Cv17 solicit.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Gman124 00:01, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

147.31.184.207 23:42, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:LadyBlackhawk.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LadyBlackhawk.png.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:29, 9 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.--Chris Griswold () 00:29, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Dirkanger.PNG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dirkanger.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gman124 00:04, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
