[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sir Sputnik. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of German football transfers summer 2024, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not add transfers to the lists without a reliable source confirming that the transfer has actually happened. Sir Sputnik (talk) 02:47, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at List of German football transfers summer 2024, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Do not add transfers to the list unless there is a reliable source confirming the transfer has actually happened. This means not adding transfers based on what has been posted social media, or fan sites, as these are not reliable. Do not add transfers to the list based on speculation. Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:47, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also please do not reintroduce flags, or link sections headings. The manual of style is quite clear on this. Per WP:ICON, flags and other icons should be placed in the middle of a block text. Per WP:MOSHEAD, section headings should not be linked. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:34, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at List of German football transfers summer 2024, you may be blocked from editing. I've explained this to you twice already, sources that do not confirm that a transfer is complete, but rather speculate about a transfer being near completion, like the ones you just cited for the Reus and Guirassy transfers, are not sufficient for inclusion in transfer lists like this. If you continue to do this you may be blocked from editing. Sir Sputnik (talk) 22:15, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at List of French football transfers summer 2024. Adding transfers to lists like these, based on sources that do not confirm the transfer, is disruptive. Do that again and you will be blocked from editing. Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:09, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Manual of Style

[edit]

I've explained this to you once already, per WP:MOSHEAD section heads are not to be linked, and WP:ICON should not be placed in the middle of a block of text. Moreover, communication is required. If what I'm saying to is unclear to you, ask questions, and seek clarification. Don't just ignore what I'm telling in the hope that others won't notice. I've already had to threaten you with sanctions over a different issue. I would really rather it not come to that. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:56, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you before Sir for commenting and suggesting my edit. I apologize not to reply you before because I have a problem with my connection before Daffa Rambe (talk) 00:05, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Please unblock me because now I try to add a transferred player with trusted and offical club website. Please look the source I edited last 24 hours. Please consider this statement. Thank you very much.

Decline reason:

This does not convince me. You are free to make a new unblock request showing the specific edit you plan to make, including the specific source adhering to WP:RS. Yamla (talk) 14:30, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to say this one last time, because your still doing this, do not add entries to the transfer lists without a reliable source that confirms the transfer in question. Social media, and fan sites, and sources that merely repeat social media and fan sites are not reliable. If a transfer has not been confirmed by the clubs involved, it does not belong on the lists. If any of this is unclear, ask questions, because if you keep doing this you will be blocked again, and the next one will likely be quite a bit longer. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:08, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me Sir Sputnik. Could I kindly ask you? According to you, is this reliable source link stating that Jorge Miramon moved completely from Leganes to AEK Larnaca? Thank you

The source is reliable, but it does not confirm the transfer. Running it through google translate, the second sentence of the article says "The footballer is expected in Cyprus in the next 24 hours to complete the transfer." This indicates quite clearly that the transfer was not complete when this article was written. This was more than 24 hours ago, so things may have changed in the meantime.
On an unrelated note, please use the ping template when trying to get someone's attention on your own talk page. Like this: {{ping|Sir Sputnik}}. This sends them a notification similar to the ones you get when someone posts here. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:15, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Sir Sputnik: Excuse me. Would you mind if I add flags before club name of transferred players to outside Germany? Thank you Daffa Rambe (talk) 11:50, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've explained this to you twice already. The flags don't belong there. Per WP:MOSFLAG, flags and other icons should not be placed in the middle of a block text. Sir Sputnik (talk) 14:16, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Transfermarkt

[edit]

Since much of its content is user-edited, Transfermarkt is not considered a reliable source. Please don't cite the website in articles. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 14:11, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please read over the guidelines in WP:KARLSRUHER. You're consistently getting this wrong. Moreover, try to make an effort to understand why someone else is making the changes they did, if you're going to revert them. I've corrected your errors of this nature several times now, citing WP:KARLSRUHER in my edit edit summary, and on several occasions you've just reverted these, despite having clear opportunity to figure out for yourself what the issue. Simply put, I don't want to have keep fighting you over corrections to the mistakes you're making. Sir Sputnik (talk) 13:57, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
