Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Cycling and translation in russian

[edit]

Hi Aps-vologda. On Wikidata, we are developping d:Module:Cycling race, a program that is translated in more than ten languages and that can display on different Wikipedias the datas we enter on Wikidata.

  • Can you verify if translations in russian are good, and add translations for the different type of stages at line 1092 ?
  • Can you add russian translations at the Kit to translate ? It will permit to russian users to use Wikidata for cycling without mandatory use the english.
  • Can you translate d:Module:Cycling race/doc in russian ? It will give to russian users all the informations they need. Cordially, Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 16:00, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 13:57, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. It is again me. We are working on a common infobox. It aleady exist in six Wikipedias, and my wish is to give it to RU Wiki. Can you translate in russian these words ?

	l10nDef["//ru.wikipedia.org"] = {"Детали гонки", "COURSE", "COMPETITION", "COMPETITIONS", "Этапы", "DATE", "DATES", "Дистанция", "COUNTRY", "COUNTRIES", "JOURNEY ORIGIN", "JOURNEY DESTINATION", "TEAMS", "STARTING RIDERS", "ARRIVING RIDERS", "AVERAGE SPEED", "COST", "Призёры", "Победитель", "Второй", "Третий", "Очковая", "Горная", "Спринтерская", "Молодёжная", "COMBATIVITY", "Комбинир.", "Командная"}

When the function will appear on RU Wiki, we will be interested if you have specificities to display some informations in your langage. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 18:45, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My translation:
	l10nDef["//ru.wikipedia.org"] = {"Детали гонки", "Маршрут", "Соревнование", "Соревнования", "Этапы", "Дата", "Даты", "Дистанция", "Страна", "Страны", "Место старта", "Пункт назначения", "Команды", "Вышло на старт гонщиков", "Финишировало гонщиков", "Средняя скорость", "Призовые", "Призёры", "Победитель", "Второй", "Третий", "Очковая", "Горная", "Спринтерская", "Молодёжная", "Бойцовская", "Комбинированная", "Командная"}
Aps-vologda (talk) 05:51, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks you. I create the function on ru:Шаблон:Cycling race/infobox. This week, with Molarus, we search and solve the problems it rests with this infobox. The code will be updated. If you find problems, you can list them. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 09:49, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, it's okay. But I want you to fix it: Course (Гонка) - after the number was (Example: 102-й, 83-й). in the French version (re or e). Аnd so I have tried to ru:Тур Омана 2016
I try do fix it, but I don't succeed, so I ask to Molarus that write the program. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 14:55, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks you. I would also like to names in the Russian module block written on the contrary (all in Russian Wikipedia article since the beginning of the name and then the name) example: english - Bob Jungels ----> russian ru:Юнгельс, Боб. I would like to Боб Юнгельс Aps-vologda (talk) 08:07, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Molarus have add an exception for the edition number.
For the name of cyclists, you can give Боб Юнгельс as label and Юнгельс, Боб as alias, and do the same for future translations. When a russian user will search Юнгельс, Боб in Wikidata, he will find the good item. By the program, it will need to have d:Property:P734 and d:Property:P734 for each item, with a translation in russian. For spanish cyclists, you will surely have four word even if two are generally used. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 09:21, 18 February 2016 (UTC) Yes, it is the better solution, because I see you use the normal order for the team roster, and Papuass, an user from LV Wiki, create a program that give the team roster, see lv:Team Sky and other WorldTeams. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 10:01, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

For the number of participating cyclists, the qualifiers are d:Q15053706 and d:Q15053716. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 13:55, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A little addition : when you create an item about a race, it is important to have an date (P585), thanks to this, the table can continue to be generate. If it lacks just a date, the program is not able to say where is the race in the time. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 09:38, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You will receive a new function tomorrow to list the roster of a team. You already know it, you have add a russian translation. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 20:47, 7 March 2016 (UTC) => ru:Шаблон:Cycling race/teamroster. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 11:06, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, in Russian module all right.
You can also add how many years the rider now or this year???Aps-vologda (talk) 05:34, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
In "Cycling race/teamroster" it turned out to make names riders, and in module "Cycling race/listofstages" remains as it was. You can make the names appear as in "Cycling race/teamroster". Example: ru:Тур Катара and ru:Etixx-Quick Step, rider ru:Терпстра, Ники, it is necessary as in ru:Etixx-Quick Step.Aps-vologda (talk) 11:14, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
For the age of the rider at the beginning of the season, it is not again possible. I provide to ask at the end of the month.
It is not possible for the name of the rider, the program takes the value on Wikidata, but if you want, I can ask for you to have a classification according to the russian alphabet. I will ask this this week end. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 15:36, 11 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I'll wait Aps-vologda (talk) 07:05, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You can follow all the developments on the talk page of the program. On my side, when I will work about item of cyclists, I will create an item for the family name (if necessary). For having a sort, you will need to translate these items. As I say to other user, this year is a long processus. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 10:22, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Can you verify if all in d:Wikidata:WikiProject Cycling/Kit to translate is translated in russian ? For the jerseys, you can wait, I have a big number of items to create, it will be in use when we will make classifications with Wikidata. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 08:48, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cycling templates

[edit]

Hi. I have undone your edits introducing Wikidata-driven templates. They have been discussed at WT:CYC and concerns have been raised. Currently they do not comply with WP:DTT and the semantics are unclear. I'm keen to work on how to improve this, but personally I don't think they should be used as they are. Relentlessly (talk) 16:00, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:TCG 2016 riders requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an unambiguous misrepresentation of established policy.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Classifications with Wikidata

[edit]

Hi Aps-vologda. With Molarus the work continue to be able to display classifications with Wikidata. You can see on FR Wiki at fr:Modèle:Cycling race/generalclassification and fr:Modèle:Cycling race/stageclassification a test of these two new functions. I need you vote very fastily for the creation of two properties, d:Wikidata:Property proposal/time gap and d:Wikidata:Property proposal/distinctive jersey. Once they will be created, they will be used to finished the code. After a little period to find bugs, we will be able to display classifications of races in more than twenty languages.

On another point, I need you verify on d:Wikidata:WikiProject Cycling/Kit to translate if you have all the translations in your language, and on d:Module:Cycling race around line 1890 if you have translations. On this page, you will also find the documentations for all the functions created since six months. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 17:53, 12 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Aps-vologda. We have a new function called stageinfobox on Wikidata, and a little part of code to translate at the beginning of d:Module:Cycling race. On a second hand, I need votes on d:Wikidata:Property proposal/Event. We plan to create other properties about classification, to be able to display them in different Wikipedias. Note that we are finalizing this function. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (talk) 13:57, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
