Cord Blood Banking

[edit]

Hello Andonico,

I did not vandalize the Cord Blood Banking page at all, I deleted the duplication! Since you undid my corrections to the page, now there are 2 sections of "Issues of all cord blood banks".— Ryantcook (talk)

Thanks

Hello Andonico,

Thank you very much for your understanding and prompt corrective action. I am still a bit new to the wikipedia community, but I really do hope that I can contribute to it. But once again, thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryantcook (talkcontribs) 01:01, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Am I missing a joke here? Enigma (talk) 22:20, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm all for long blocks, but I was a little surprised by that. Usually I see short blocks or occasionally indefinite ones for accounts created exclusively for vandalism. Thanks for the reply. :) Enigma (talk) 00:06, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would you mind taking a look at this page, the author is continually removing the speedy tag from the page, but has just barely repaired it so that it is no longer an advertisement. Maybe A1 or nonsense material? Either way, it would be great if you could make it a red link. Cheers, Tiptoety talk 23:29, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inflation stuff

[edit]

AndonicO, a few months ago I tried to encourage another user to help me develop inflation accounting. It hasn't worked out. User:Herbou AKA User:Nicolaas J Smith is now editing as a COI anon, I think. See User talk:87.103.45.114, where I left a message. Not sure what's happening here, but wanted to let you know. --Foggy Morning (talk) 02:25, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for your message. I had in fact sent off an email requesting Huggle before I put my name down for VandalProof, but have not yet received a reply. I will chase the developer again this week. I am encouraged that you believe it to be worthwhile. Kind regards--Calabraxthis (talk) 14:38, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the kind suggestion. I would welcome receiving a copy of Huggle to try out. My email address is Calabraxthis(at)googlemail(dot)(com) . Best regards--Calabraxthis (talk) 17:46, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks kindly for sending me the copy of Huggle. I have had the opportunity to road-test it this weekend, and despite the subtle nuances which I will need to learn, it is indeed excellent and is certainly the best piece of software around. That user was part of a tag team of vandals all vandalising the same page at the same time (and this was indicated in the AIV report). Given that this shows the accounts were being blatantly unconstructive (they had 14 vandal edits within 15 minutes!) I didn't see the need to go through the full warning process. Peking duck Blog article

[edit]

Blogs are most definitely subject to speedy deletion under criterion A7. That doesn't mean that articles on them aren't allowed; it just means that if the article doesn't prove the blog is notable, it can be deleted on site. You were fine to delete the article. I was being gracious by tagging to hopefully make the OE realize why the article was about to get deleted. —C.Fred (talk) 02:33, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation of block

AndonicO, could you please elaborate a bit on your block of BestSummers (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log)? IP likes blocks

[edit]

As you might've seen, he vandalized your page after final warning. Enigma msg! 04:25, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Buzz Aldrin on the Moon.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:Image:Buzz Aldrin on the Moon.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello; Tried to sort out inconsistencies and unclarities in this section. If you look at the "given" "third inversion" text compared to the "given/original" you will see the original inconsistencies.
