OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:46, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good Afternoon OhNoitsJamie,
I have come to the realization that Wikipedia is not a free advertising platform and should never be used to spam links on it. It's intended for people to enjoy reading without the worry of someone coming across a link that is malicious in nature. I would really like to create an account on Wikipedia and learn the ins and outs of editing and one day making it to Admin status like yourself. If there is anyway to unblock my IP i would be forever grateful but if not i completely understand the reasoning behind it. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and if you can please respond back when you're free.
Best Regards,
Nick 68.78.104.87 (talk) 20:56, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Nope. For several years you've done nothing but add malicious spam links. No reason to trust you at all. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 14:53, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

In the past I was using Wikipedia for all the wrong reasons and I was foolish/selfish for doing so. I realize I was using Wikipedia as a means to advertise and it was only for my own benefit and not the audience reading it. I want to change all of that and start fresh. I want to provide as much value as I can for the people who read Wikipedia and eventually move my way up to Administrator status because I hear there are a backlog of issues that need to be addressed. I know what I did in the past was wrong but I hope someone can forgive me for what I've done and know it wont happen again. I know that no-one should believe me but i give you full permission to block me indefinitely if it ever happens again and so you have my word It wont. I want to be able to review and edit Wikipedia pages again and prove to Wikipedia I'm not trying to use them for my own benefit. Can someone please review this and give me any feedback you think I should hear good or bad.

Thanks, Nick

Decline reason:

Personally, I would set your sights a bit lower and just concentrate on being a good editor. You don't need the admin tools to do that. You don't describe here how you want to contribute to this project; that's vital to any chance at being unblocked- which is probably pretty slim as it is. 331dot (talk) 20:53, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

In the past I was using Wikipedia for all the wrong reasons and I was foolish/selfish for doing so. What I did was edit a Wikipedia article by replacing the website URL with a different one which then redirected everyone to my affiliate link. I was trying to be "sneaky" and It was very selfish and i apologize for doing this as it wasn't right for me to take advantage of Wikipedia for that purpose. I was dumb and stupid for thinking it was alright to do something like this and I never meant to do any harm just to make a quick buck which in the end only got me banned from editing. In order to rectify my wrong doing some of those ways i will improve Wikipedia is checking facts and references, adding references, adding images, writing new articles, expanding existing articles, and copyediting articles. This is just the beginning as I have a lot to learn about Wikipedia and how to contribute to it. I would even reach out to other editors on Wikipedia to ask their thoughts on the matter too in case i may be missing anything important. I also don't know how this works but I would like to look at recent changes to Wikipedia articles that others have made and make sure there following proper guidelines according to what Wikipedia wants and either allow or reverse changes that may deem inappropriate. I know what I did in the past was wrong but I hope someone can forgive me for what I've done and know it wont happen again. You worked hard, for years, to demonstrate you should not be trusted. We heard you. Unblock request declined. Your best bet is to spend at least six months on another project, editing a significant amount of content constructively, and without any evidence of the obvious harm you were trying to cause here, and then come back and show us those contributions. Given the malicious scam links you've been posting here, I think this is an incredibly generous offer. Yamla (talk) 10:51, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can an administrator please review my request above to be unblocked? I provided a reason too as to why I think I should be unblocked. 68.78.104.87 (talk) 01:03, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I also blocked your other range; I also blacklisted a bunch of your garbage links, and will blacklist more as I find them. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:19, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
