It's fast and free. If you are unable to create an account due to your institution's IP address being blocked, follow these instructions. If you are autoblocked repeatedly, contact your network administrator or instructor and request that your school contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on its proxy servers so that blocks will affect only the intended user. Administrators: review contributions carefully if blocking this IP address or reverting its contributions. If a block is needed, consider a soft block using {{School block}}. In response to vandalism from this IP address, abuse reports may be sent to its network administrator for investigation.

Welcome
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Here are some links to pages you may find useful:
- Contributing to Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (199.80.250.130) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a new Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Request reason:
This block is no longer necessary to me because I understand what I’ve been blocked for and will not cause any damage or disruption to Wikipedia and will make useful contributions instead. 199.80.250.130 (talk) 21:10, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
Decline reason:
What have you been blocked for? --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 22:28, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Leon, how about showing some competence for once. How about stop cutting and pasting the default message every time you want to be unblocked from your school or home IPs and appeal on your main account with an actual coherent reason.
Spamming the default message and over again in your block appeals on IPs isn't doing your school or yourself any favours. 124.149.92.138 (talk) 12:54, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

I don’t get it why is this IP range is blocked I didn’t do anything wrong.199.80.250.130 (talk) 03:25, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. SQLQuery me! 10:09, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

Palo Alto School
[edit]I'm a different user and got this notice. FYI I think that this IP address is shared by many computers at the Palo Alto School district

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Palo Alto High School, you may be blocked from editing. John from Idegon (talk) 21:43, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Boeing 787 Dreamliner, without citing reliable source(s). Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. -Fnlayson (talk) 19:18, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
