Four tildes

[edit]

Please start to use four tildes "~" at the end of your comments. You can find a button at the top of the edit box that looks like part of a signature that you can use instead of typing it out manually.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 15:54, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:31, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Turbojet, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mach 1 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm Andy Dingley. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Overdrive (mechanics), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. "Direct drive" does not mean what you think it does. If you think that such gearboxes transmit their drive through a pair of 1:1 gears, then you're going to have to show a WP:RS reference for that. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Convair F2Y Sea Dart may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Unsourced and inaccurate changes.

[edit]

re Heinkel He 178

Please, enough's enough. Far too many of your changes are basically wrong (putting it politely!) and I haven't seen anything from you that has any level of sourcing, as is required by WP:RS and WP:V. I've blanket reverted a bunch of your changes, as have others. If this continues, you're likely to end up blocked because bringing in bulk inaccuracies is not accepted here, even if done with the best of intentions.

The Meteor speed errors [1] are just plain sloppy, and confusing two quite different models of aircraft, some time apart. Andy Dingley (talk) 23:55, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
