Disambiguation link notification for October 31
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited United States House Select Committee to Investigate Tax-Exempt Foundations and Comparable Organizations, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Electorate (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Huh?
[edit]In this edit [1] you claim that mainstream sources downplay Jones' comments. How do you get to that from one source that explicitly pins the conspiracy theory on him and another that doesn't mention him? Guy (Help!) 15:20, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
I thought it was clear that "his comments" was referring to the comments by Soros on 60 Minutes, not the constant anti-Soros comments from Alex. Æthereal (talk) 18:18, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
I would be happy to clarify this in the edit, but it has already been reverted without explanation. Æthereal (talk) 18:34, 25 February 2019 (UTC) .

Alerts on topic areas
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

You are subject to an indefinite BLP topic ban
[edit]Based on a consensus at the ANI thread mentioned a few sections above, you have been topic banned from BLP topics, broadly construed. This means you may not edit articles or the associated talk pages of living people (or those who have recently died), nor can you edit other articles with content related to living people, nor can you discuss living people in project space or user space. This topic ban is indefinite; you may appeal it at WP:AN. I suggest you not appeal it until you have a substantial history of editing non-BLP content, without similar problems, under your belt. My own gut instinct is that an appeal is likely to be rejected if attempted before 6 months, but you are allowed to appeal whenever you want. This kind of topic ban is impossible to enforce with partial page blocks, so you will need to take care in your editing; you'll be technically able to edit in violation of the topic ban, and if you do so more than once (accidentally) and someone reports it, you'll likely be blocked sitewide to enforce it. --Floquenbeam (talk) 15:22, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
BLP topic ban violation
[edit]With these two edits ([3] and [4]), you violated your BLP topic ban by conducting edits on living people such as Johnson (recently deceased people also count). Further violations may be reported to WP:AE and may result in blocks. This is a warning as it’s your first time. starship.paint (exalt) 01:21, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
