Troy Melville
Troy Melville (born December 31, 1968 in Hobart, Tasmania) is an independent film director and producer.
Career
[edit]After studying Fine Arts at The University of Tasmania, Troy Melville made the move from photography to filmmaking in early 2000.
Receiving acclaim [1] for his first broadcast documentary in 2004 for Testing Taklo [2], which launched the 2004 series of the SBS series Inside Australia.
Troy Melville continues to work as a digital artist, in 2008 working as a videographer with Fiona Foley [3] to create Bliss, an 11 minute film that is now on permanent display in the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.
Troy Melville is the director of Move Media [4], a film and television production company based in Tasmania.
