Marcus Gelpi

Marcus Gelpi (born February 16, 2002) is a Puerto Rican track and field[1] athlete who competes in the high jump[2] event. He participated at the 2022 NACAC Championships[3] in the high jump event where he placed 7th.

Previously, on 3 Dec 2021, he placed 5th in his  first international competition in Cali, Colombia at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games[4] .

Biography

Gelpi was born in 2002, the son of Jean and Jill Gelpi with older siblings, Stephan and Sydney Gelpi. He is a 2020 graduate of Dixon High School in Dixon, California, and a graduate of Diablo Valley College where he trains under Ed Miller[5]. He jumps off his left leg. He will be attending Kansas State University as a 2022 Mid-Year Transfer student-athlete under Head Coach Cliff Rovelto.
