Roberto Duarte (Chilean Visual Artist)
[edit]Born in Santiago, Chile, living working in Berlin, German.
Since the 90s he has been working basically with Photography and Video, Painting, Poetry, as well in Sound, Performance and Site Specific Projects.
He was founder member of the experimental music groups, El Grito (Chile) and Enola Gay (México)
His work has been exhibited among others, in Chile, Arte in Rapa Nui (Easter Island) Museum of Modern Art de Chiloé, TRECE Gallery, Relincha Festival; Argentina, Apeiron Zool; México, Cineteca Nacional, Cinematógrafo del Chopo, Museum del Chopo, Museum of Modern Art, Aural Festival; USA, White Box Gallery NY; Spain, Bienal de Poesía Visual; Italy, XXX Fuorifestival – altre video e altre culture; Germany, Directors Lounge Contemporary Media and Art Festival, Berliner Liste Art Fair, Kino Central, Saavy Gallery, Klangkusntfest, Bandbreak Festival, Emerging/Transforming Phenomenons Dance-Video-Sound Festival and Movement/Sound/Vision Festival. He self published the book "Here" (poems & paintings by Roberto Duarte)
