Located off 43rd Avenue and Anthem Way in Anthem, Arizona, Outlets at Anthem is a huge outlet shopping center, one of only two in the state, with clothing stores, restaurants, housewares stores, and toy stores. The Mall if filled with a good mix of brands for adults, teens and children. The mall is full of tenants, though the recent economic downturn had forced many shops to close. The mall's attractive southwestern architecture is pleasing to the eye. Sidewalks are shaded from the sun, and the mall's spacious food court is air-conditioned. Kids have their own play area here, including an interactive, run-through fountain to use on hot days. The Outlet Mall is both a local hangout for teens as well as a source of minimum wage jobs for the area. The Outlets are a typical saturday getaway for people as far away as Avondale
America's Largest Christmas Tree Ploy
[edit]December 2010 the mall was home to the one of the nation’s largest Christmas trees, bringing crowds from the nearby metropolitan area, and the largest attendance the mall had ever seen during it's lighting ceremony. It was advertized in the newspapers, radio and television as "The Nations Largest" at 110 feet, this however was not true, as it was the largest in Arizona, but states like Oregon, Montana and Idaho had many outdoor malls featuring trees as tall as 140 feet. Nonetheless December of 2010 saw a boost in Outlet sales, attributing this success to the tree.
