I am a member of the Firearms WikiProject, a project devoted to the improvement of firearms and ammunition coverage on Wikipedia. I understand that a personal firearm is, at the same time, a Weapon, Tool, Machine, and a Work of Art. |
My editing
[edit]For the foreseeable future my editing will be less frequent. Life is busy and I have higher priorities to see to. If I am needed, please contact me through my talk page, as I do log in regularly, and will endeavor to be of aid when I am needed. I will still be involved in Wikipedia and most especially the WikiProject Firearms, but I will be devoting the bulk of my attention to other aspects of my life.
My interests
[edit]I have several interests: history, especially military history; aviation; and shooting. To that end, those are the subjects to which I contribute the most on Wikipedia, although my involvement in aviation has tapered off somewhat. Frankly I saw a lot of debates that seemed highly subjective, and became heated, sometimes over what boiled down to—in my opinion—apples and oranges arguments. That and I started becoming more involved in the firearms area of Wikipedia.
As mentioned above, I am a member of the WikiProject Firearms, but what is not mentioned is that I am the coordinator of the project. That came about because I got curious, and noticed that the Weaponry Task Force of the Military History WikiProject did not cover civilian firearms. This made me wonder who covered them. I discovered that there was no project dedicated to covering the important subject of firearms. So I created the project myself. If you're reading this and are interested in firearms, just go here, and add your name.
