Hanthalah,

A leftist pro middle eastren unity, although I reject the name middle east, but it is the most comprehensive term used nowadays to describe my region, I believe that the emancipation of our region comes through unity and the establishement of a new order that respects all humans and their rights, it should be a highly decentralizes state, and should not be made or rules by a single "ethnicity" or "religion". I don't believe in the right of Israel to exist as a state, and I refuse any sort of a two state solution for the Palestinian Israeli Conflict, or a solution that does not include the right of return to the Palestinian refugees.

During the last century, much of bloodshed and misery was brought to our region, we were responsable for a big deal of it, Europeans and Americans were responsable for the rest. Nevertheless, I still believe that the long historical and cultural heritage that we have will enable us to live together as one, being arabs, turks, kurds, persians, armenians, assyriens, or being Moslems, Christians, Jews, Bahai's, etc. , and to absorbe those who came recentely to our country (notabely the Ashkenazis). I know that this isn't an easy task, but there isn't a way out of the crisis we are livung everyone by his own, we must unite, in a world seeking coalition and hegemony. This call for unity, implicitly includes an appeal for the renunciation of violence.

As for the nickname Hanthalah, it is taken from the caricatures of the great caricaturist Naji Al-Ali, who used this image of a ten year old boy in a poor palestinian refugee camp to sign with. Hanthalah was, except for few exceptions, always turning his back, the same way he did when he left his village in Palestine in 1948, in rejection to reality. The few times when we can see his face, is when he's resisting, either with a stone or with compassion.
