Request to edit Template talk:Ship classes of the Chinese Navy by change training ship from Qi Jiguang-class training ship to Type 680 training ship to comply with wikipedia convention of listing ship by type when type number is available XdeLaTorre (talk) 02:00, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Currently, the template listed the NATO report name along side with the Chinese designation. As a result, those without a NATO report name have a redundant "class" behind (Type 095 class, Type 003 class, Type 002 class, Type 001A class). Per the example of the Royal Navy, I will move the NATO report name into parentheses and remove the redundant "class". -Mys_721tx (talk) 22:39, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Consider reviewing WP:CLN, which indicates that readers and editors may have multiple different ways to navigate. Izno (talk) 20:46, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Changes I want to make are:
(1) The name of the template is changed from Active Ships of the People's Liberation Army Navy to Ship classes of the Chinese Navy
(2) Retired ship classes are added
Reason for makeing these changes is because there is already an article List of active People's Liberation Army Navy ships, that provides the same info the current version of the template provides, and neither provides the list of retired ship classes of the Chinese navy. Changes I want to make is to provide info of retired ship classes of the Chinese navy. The current version of the template is same as List of active People's Liberation Army Navy ships, because both the article and the template have the same info only on active ships. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.91.159.57 (talk) 05:26, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
