[edit]

Please pass the border, link, and alt attributes specified at Module:Portal/images through to these templates. Not passing through the border creates a problem where flags with white backgrounds blend into the background of the template, such as:

@ScottishFinnishRadish: I do not have the understanding of template syntax required to comfortably make this edit. I don't want to break anything, so I'm requesting a template editor make the edits. ― Tartan357 Talk 23:02, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the edit request template to template protected, rather than extended confirmed. You may end up having better luck at WP:VPT or maybe the help desk. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:10, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I figured it would be a pretty trivial change for a template editor to make, but I'll go to the Village Pump if discussion is needed. ― Tartan357 Talk 23:14, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Hope you get a quick response. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:26, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I've discovered how to get these elements from Module:Portal to be passed through into the templates, however, I was curious what way you think this should be implemented. Should the border be passed through every time, or should this be an argument within the templates (E.g. |border=y)? I don't imagine an issue with having it passed every time, but I don't know much about this, so a comment would be nice. Aidan9382 (talk) 20:57, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Aidan9382: I would say every time. It's only included in the images list for those images that should always have it. But if this creates a problem I haven't forseen, I would have no objections to adding the parameter you're suggesting. ― Tartan357 Talk 00:34, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Tartan357: Sounds good. Ive gone ahead and  Done the changes. If you notice any issues, just notify me, but it should work fine from what I've seen. Aidan9382 (talk) 05:12, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
