Though it was a separate league, would it be appropriate to include the AFL's ten seasons in this template? The nature of the AFL-NFL Merger agreement in large part recognized the AFL as a fully-fledged league. If the merged entity had merely chosen to adopt a new name, we would have either already included the AFL's history in this template, or would have excluded the pre-1970 NFL seasons entirely. But that's just my two cents. --Xyzzyva 23:19, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is no point to put the AFL's seasons on this template since the only detail about each season is located on the American Football League seasons page. It would be pointless to list 10 seasons when they all lead to the same page --Happyman22 02:57, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Very good point... --Xyzzyva 03:25, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Years off set

[edit]

I have recently check that comparing the years of the Template:SuperBowl Years to the years of the NFL seasons template. In the template of the Super Bowl years the years are set to the year of the Super Bowl and not the year of the season just as the template of the NFL seasons. Where I believe that the years should be change to the seasons years because it does get confusing when using both templates at one time. I have also placed this discussion (talk) in the discussion (talk) of Template talk:SuperBowl.--Mr. Unknown (talk) 01:28, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
