big.LITTLE chips

[edit]

To remove duplication, chips using two different types of core in a big.LITTLE configuration should only be listed under one. I propose that they're listed under the "big" core, since the "LITTLE" cores are only used as low-power cores compatible with the "big" cores. --Imroy (talk) 23:16, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with doing this, but, currently the A-55 is only used in the same places as the A-75, consequently there is some duplication here for the moment so the A-55 can appear in the template. Without any list of where they appear they disappear from the template. I think it's better to have this small amount of duplication for the time being so that the A-55 can be seen. When the time comes that they are used on their own this duplication can be removed. 86.153.162.136 (talk) 02:50, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would consider merging 8.5 and 9.0, 8.6 and 9.1, etc.

[edit]

As ARM itself groups these pairs together as they have the same new extensions.

Another reason is: the current order suggests a wrong ordering. For example 8.7 is actually newer than 9.0. Homei (talk) 00:34, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
