Merge proposal

[edit]

Guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements state that ideally the civil parish should be the catch-all article, avoiding single line articles on every village and landmark within the parish.

Therefore, I suggest that villages within the parish with a one or two sentence article, ie Kingsfold to be merged and redirected to this parish article. ++ MortimerCat (talk) 22:00, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re-wording needed

[edit]

The sentence at the end of the first paragraph reads:

"The area is in the northwest of the Weald, a gently sloped remnant forest in southeast England and largely a plain by erosion this does not help."

Would the original writer please reword the sentence to provide more meaning for the average reader?

Two paragraphs down is the comment "The station was built primarily for the brick works, which had some sidings until recently;...". This is the only mention of a local brickworks in the article. Are they still in operation, or is this an industry of a previous generation or era? What was/is its importance to the community?
