Possible merger

[edit]

I believe that Old Country Buffet and HomeTown Buffet should be merged with this article for several reasons:

  1. Integration would be highly simple
    1. The articles aren't very long
    2. They aren't that far off in their current blurb here in the main article
  2. Are these two brands more notable than the other restaurants? I would say, "no". I don't believe that the two are really deserving of their own pages, especially when the other brands are currently redlinks.

Anyways, a consensus would be nice, as I believe that a merge would help make this current article better, as well as making the two branch-off brands better, too. Thanks, —Curran (talk | contibs | random) 02:31, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since they are both the same restaurant, just with different names in different markets, it would make sense to merge Old Country Buffet and Hometown Buffet. Mrath 04:36, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added Ryan's Restaurant Group to the merger discussion for the same reasons cited above. (also, Ryan's Restaurant Group seems to attract a lot of Spam adverts on its own) Shsilver 12:52, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading title

[edit]

I think the title of this article is misleading, and should redirect to "Buffet" or a disambiguation page. the title as is stands is almost like wikisquatting when someone just puts "buffets" in the search box and hits "go"

I propose moving this article to "Buffets, Inc." - which is currently a redirect page pointing to "Buffets" Matt Kurz (talk) 18:46, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 4 external links on Ovation Brands. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

COVID-19 Closures and Sourcing

[edit]

Hi there @Dyll222:, I'm taking this issue to the talk page so we can discuss how to best integrate your edits into the article properly. Wikipedia has a policy that a reliable source be added for verifiability when material is added to the article. Do you have any reliable sources to support the statements you added? Thanks. My sources for my additions to this page are: their Facebook page, they temporarily closed (HomeTown Buffet, Old Country Buffet & Ryan’s). My source for them still closed and unclear if they can open is A. Their website stating they’re still closed. B. They can reopen in several locations and still haven’t. Therefore it’s unclear if they will reopen. Dyll222 (talk) 22:28, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New name?

[edit]

I’m confused on this, I have an article here and apparently the buffets are all under a new parent company. “VitaNova Brands” https://www.wfmz.com/news/pr_newswire/pr_newswire_food_beverages/m-a-legend-lee-sanders-joins-vitanova-brands-board-of-directors/article_b3d913a4-4292-5537-baf4-d718ffa2f9a2.html Dyll222 (talk) 00:22, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
