[edit]I have re-written my own article to make it more "Wiki-friendly" Ogg 16:15, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I really enjoyed this entry for the Boys of the Lough. I hope you'll update it to 2005 as I have lost touch with them recently!
"1993 was another silent year, and when they returned with The Day Dawn (1994), both John Coackley and Dave Richardson were gone." Do you really mean Dave Richardson? I thought it was he who kept the whole thing going - rather like Paddy Maloney.
Did Tich Richardson not play guitar with them?
As far as Ali Bain is concerned, I think we know that his absence was not to be temporary. I'll edit that myself in a few minutes. Hoping you can update things further. --Paw42 17:06, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
You are right, Dave Richardson didn't leave, well spotted. I cannot find any trace of Tich's death mentioned on the web, so this the place to put it on record. There is so much other stuff that I feel compelled to do, that it might be a few months before I get back to this one. Ogg 17:39, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
For those who are not in the know, Tich Richardson was killed in an auto accident in Scotland. Phil Cunningham was in the car with him at the time. The Boys of the Lough had played in Mallaig the night before and Tich, Dave, and Aly had stayed with my exwife and me there. We got word the next day-- I have never been so stunned in my life. Phil went on to write and record the instrumental "When Summer Ends" in Tich's memory. --Cramsay —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.224.54.249 (talk) 17:39, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
