Indebtedness

[edit]

While I like confining an article/topic, this one seems so confined that there is no place here (or anywhere else either) to place the information that the states owe a cumulative $5 billion in 2013, nearly $4 billion of that for pensions. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/01/12/cut-up-credit-cards-states-have-5t-in-debts-taxpayers-will-have-to-pay/?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl30%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D429445 Student7 (talk) 21:42, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rename to State government (United States)

[edit]

I am requesting that this page, State governments of the United States be moved to State government (United States) in order to synchronize article w/similar articles (e.g. Governor (United States), State legislature (United States), and State court (United States)).
@BilCat: I apologize for my sloppy attempt to move this article a short while ago and for not immediately making note of it here on the article's talk page.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Drdpw (talkcontribs)

The current title matches several other articles on the state governments of other countries, such as State governments of India and State governments of Mexico, and also similar entities such as Provincial governments of South Africa. As such, I think this one is fine as it is. - BilCat (talk) 22:58, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I did not consider other articles on subnational governments. thanks for the clarification. Drdpw (talk) 23:25, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
