What? No best-of list in style of List of Stanley Cup champions? I'd like to see who are the next ones behind Henri Richard. Actually, more like List of NBA players with most championships would be great. 85.217.45.104 (talk) 10:58, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Such list can be found in fi:Luettelo Stanley Cupin voittaneista pelaajista. Though it is in finnish, there is almost nothing that isn't here. And that table can also be sorted. Though one thing I'm missing are their nationalities, both this and the finnish article. I know the finnish SC winners (five players), but there are some other players in this list who were left off of the Cup, such as Raimo Summanen. 85.217.15.230 (talk) 00:03, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The entry for Loktionov, Andrei is incorrect. He won a cup w/ the LA Kings (2011-12), and has never played for Chicago. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.165.84.174 (talk) 10:42, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Needs lots of work

[edit]

There's a work in progress list here, FYI. As it is this is pretty raw and un-user-friendly. Jmj713 (talk) 19:04, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I just started work on turning this into a sortable list as well. Was trying to wrap it up before the Finals this year. Should I not bother? Crispy385 (talk) 19:01, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is still true. This really needs to be a table. If I have some time I’ll do a sample of what I have in mind. Hopefully folks can run with it as it’s obviously a lot of work. Jmj713 (talk) 16:01, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, just did the "A" names. A simple but very legible table. We don't need to include the team names since it only complicates things. This gets the most important information across quick and clean: when a given person won the Cup and how many times overall. Jmj713 (talk) 02:23, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I come back to this every year or two and I tried making this list more legible but it didn't take. See this edit which was reverted. I would very much like to see this unreadable list converted into a sortable table like I attempted. If it can be improved, I would be more than happy. But I do hope someone takes it upon themselves to improve this situation. Jmj713 (talk) 21:55, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Just getting back to this list, I see it's still in a poor and illegible state. It sorely needs to be made into a table which would allow at a glance to see who's won how many Cups and when. Again, please see the edit I linked to that was reverted, and no discussion is happening. Does no one care that this looks very bad? Jmj713 (talk) 18:32, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think its that no one cares, it is that no one has seen your messages cause they likely don't watchlist this page. This is why most discussion about working on various articles happens on the Wikiproject page. I could probably try and help with it at some point, but being summer is about to start I am not super likely to be motivated to do it. As for your older comment about being reverted, I think the revert happened because you only changed one section and you removed all the teams the players were on when they won, which is crucial information. Must say seeing Leech44s list was a blast from the past, that guy used to be great, haven't seen him on here in forever. Maybe I will play around a bit later and see if I can't automate some of the conversion to a table. -DJSasso (talk) 19:24, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think what I might do for now is take the table Leech was creating and slowly add to it in a sandbox (or really on his sandbox page probably since he is inactive) and then move it over here. -DJSasso (talk) 19:28, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you do, that would be great. Anything is better than the current list. Jmj713 (talk) 17:14, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This page should be deleted

[edit]

TBH, an AFD should be invoked on this page. A list of players who've won the Stanley Cup? GoodDay (talk) 19:21, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
