What's the source for the western terminus of this Highway? I believe it ends at Albany. Sh26 (talk) 09:13, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, it is a place called Crystal Springs 12km to the west of Walpole. Its definitely the name of the main highway through Denmark. Orderinchaos 10:03, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have asked MRWA about this and will advise of their response. There may be a discrepency between what MRWA has 'declared' as Highways 8 & 9 and what the WA equivalent of the Nomenclature Board has named them. Sh26 (talk) 08:56, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My hunch was correct. There is a discrepency between the name assigned by the Geographic Name Committee and the name declared by MRWA. The information on this site is correct insofar as the GNC naming. Sh26 (talk) 05:10, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah cool - thanks for checking that up - out of curiosity what did MRWA have? Orderinchaos 05:18, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
MRWA has Highway 9 (South Western Highway) running from Armadale to Albany and Highway 8 (South Coast Highway) beginning at Albany and running to Esperance. Gazettals under the Main Roads Act use these names and numbers so they are legal entities, along with the names gazetted by the Geographic Names Committee. So it makes for an interesting inconsistency. Sh26 (talk) 07:43, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
