I have nominated the article for speedy deletion, because it lacks the most basic information about Hooper. I think it is too short to even be a stub, and is of little or no context to the reader. Catinthedogs (talk) 11:51, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Even though Hooper was the referee for this match, he was not on VAR. At the moment, the section that discusses the match heavily focuses on the offside decision by the linesman and then backed up by the VAR. I understand the controversy as the goal was incorrectly ruled out, but this error is technically with VAR/linesman rather than Hooper himself. Is it fair to include this information how it is covered on this page? Fats40boy11 (talk) 07:11, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to remove the information for now, but I am not against it being re-introduced if more comes out stating that Hooper was also at fault somehow. However, this decision is more of a mistake with VAR, and the content is more relevant elsewhere than here. If anyone disagrees with me then please discuss here on the talk page.
