Artists - being the indefatigable gentrifiers - occupied Shelly Bay from the late 90's through to 2021. Sadly uncitable ATM - these artists include: Toby Laing of Fat Freddys Drop and many other musicians using the base as rehearsal rooms plus Helen Kedgley Carlos Wedde, Barry Thomas, Jeanne MacCaskill. Ian Athfield also played a small part in some of the work done at Art Base. Musician - Mark Hornibrook. Jeff Kennedy visited with the view to open a café like his La Faire and current Prefab establishment but found the task too daunting. b'art homme 18:44, 2 September 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by B'art homme (talk • contribs)
