Locks
[edit]I've removed from the article the unsourced claim that Seaforth Dock has the largest lock gates in the world. This cannot be true, as Seaforth Dock has no locks: its connection to the River Mersey is via Gladstone Dock and the locks there. Furthermore, I've deleted the photo of a container ship using Gladstone Lock because, although the ship would have loaded at Seaforth Dock, the photograph does not show any part of the dock and the caption "Seaforth Dock" is incorrect. - Reinstated world's largest dock gates. This is true and the gates are there between Seaforth Dock and Gladstone Dock. Look at Bing maps - birds eye view - which clearly shows the curved gates in place. At the time of construction they were the world's largest.
- The photo removed was of a container ship exiting the Gladstone river lock moving into the river. Which is the main entrance lock into Seaforth Dock. The rear of the Seaforth grain terminal building are in the background. There is nothing wrong with the photo if these points are noted. 78.105.235.125 (talk) 00:36, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
