as seen [1] his win over Sakurai was by TKO (ref or doctor stoppage because of of a cut to Sakurai's face. --ProdigySportsman 04:43, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't care what Sherdog.com says, I saw the fight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ProdigySportsman (talkcontribs) 04:47, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Biographical info

[edit]

I've clarified his birthdate and added his birthplace. The info is from Ryo's personal website, which I didn't cite as it's Japanese-language only. BenTrotsky (talk) 20:12, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Method of Loss to Ryo Chonan.

[edit]

Technically, the move that he used to defeat Anderson Silva was a "heel hook" submission. It says "Flying Scissor Heel Hook," but the "flying scissor" part was simply the method of which he used to take Anderson Silva down to the ground, not the actual move that submitted Anderson Silva. I personally like the idea of that long title being the one "move" that defeated Silva, but if this is left in, every other article should be rewritten to include the immediate type of take-down or attack that preceded anyone else's loss. Nitpicking, possibly, but still. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.87.142.131 (talk) 16:18, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
