Image copyright problem with File:RushHour3CarChase.JPG
[edit]The image File:RushHour3CarChase.JPG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Rush Hour (film series). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20070930223636/http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3i7ba34c61f8b25ae23a686884d6e250f0 to http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3i7ba34c61f8b25ae23a686884d6e250f0

Production
[edit]Someone added a whole lot of production information but little of it is sourced. Ratner worked with Tucker before and and I haven't found anything to back up claims that other actors were in the running for the role. It's easy to claim an actor was "considered", but it doesn't mean the actor ever actually was offered the role, or auditioned, or even met the producers to talk about it. We shouldn't put undue weight on what are essentially rumors and speculation. Even though I did find a credible source saying Eddie Murphy turned down the role but I don't want to it is hard to know if the writer had any real information to back up the claim. Another article from the same author Dave Chappelle and Martin Lawrence were each considered but he undermines his credibility because qualifies that the various claims are "According to IMDb".
It does seem as if Martin Lawrence was attached before Disney passed on the film.
The making of A Piece of the Action: Behind the Scenes of 'Rush Hour' (1999) [1] unsurprisingly doesn't mention any of the actors who didn't get the part, and barely mentions the development besides Ratner flying to South Africa to meet Chan. It does say quite a bit about bringing together Jackie's stunt team and an American stunt team and the greater level of restrictions and safety that might make an interesting addition to the article. -- 109.79.176.69 (talk) 18:46, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
- I have trimmed the unsourced claims about who was considered for the role besides Tucker. There are lots of other unsourced claims that should probably also be removed. -- 109.79.91.135 (talk) 04:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Rush hour 2 Michael Jackson club scene
[edit]The page says Chris Tucker was FILMED SECRETLY performing the Michael Jackson song. This is very, very obviously untrue if you watch the scene.
