Why past tense?

[edit]

The article uses past tense ("was a festival") but there is no reference in the article to the event having been permanently terminated after the shooting. While one might expect it not to be held in 2018, only a year later, if the event has been discontinued, there should be a statement and a source indicating this. I've added a "citation needed" tag for this reason to the first use of "was." The source cited in the infobox is just a report on the shooting. 50.66.121.20 (talk) 04:31, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

At this present time, there have not been any statements concerning future events on the official online media related to Route 91 (the website rt91harvest.com, their Facebook and Twitter pages. All three still exclusively display the statement released after the massacre a year ago.

Should there be an announcement in the future of the resumption of the Route 91 Harvest Festival, the description of the event can be put back into the present tense here on Wikipedia. Random31908 (talk) 20:24, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
