Murder?

[edit]

As this case is presumably awaiting trial, should we describe it as murder before this is dealt with? It raises BLP issues in relation to the alleged offender. PatGallacher (talk) 12:29, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that she was attacked is not in question. I have removed the name of the suspect to prevent possible BLP issues. --NoonIcarus (talk) 13:45, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, there's no argument as to whether it was homicide. Whether it was murder is for a judicial process to decide. MIDI (talk) 08:55, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What allows you to conclude with total certainty that it was a homicide before any judicial process has taken place? What has led you to exclude the possibilities of accidental or deliberate death without any third party involvement? Please try to remain pedantic and refrain from WP:OR. Just use a bit of common sense here. it's not like it was self-immolation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.159.124.72 (talk) 18:09, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, murder - "Ndiema was to face charges as police said they were treating Cheptegei's death as murder, with the former boyfriend named as the main suspect." from today's article on the BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2e8el7wxlo — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C8:3091:9000:D594:44E0:E96C:6D7E (talk) 11:26, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
