Unnecessary Photos
[edit]There are images with kids naked with the developmental stages. The images are unnecessary and outdated, the images are over 70 years old. If you really want to have photos there just replace them with models or more up to date images. Gex273 (talk) 19:23, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
- You've been warned that Wikipedia is not censored. Do not change the photos again without a consensus. I'm not sure what you mean about "outdated." Has puberty been modernized? OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:29, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
- I understand Wikipedia is not censored, but diagrams would be a better representation then something from the 50s. Puberty is different then it was 70 years ago teens are developing earlier and faster then 70 years ago so the images are outdated as they are from 1951 while it is 2023. Gex273 (talk) 02:35, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- I suggest you find other ways to contribute to Wikipedia rather than trying to remove images you don't like. OhNoitsJamie Talk 13:14, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

Puberty in animals?
[edit]Why is there no information about puberty in other animals? Technically every animal hit puberty at some point in their life cycle, but why is there nothing on that. I believe there should be a section on puberty in other animals.
Here are some information I could find on puberty in animals.

https://www.livescience.com/animals/do-all-animals-go-through-adolescence

https://www.cabidigitallibrary.org/doi/10.1079/9780851994840.0255
I myself am not capable of trying to add an "In other animals" section as my skills are limited, but I hope that any volunteers could help me by writing down a section on animals.
Thank you. 2001:FB1:97:D678:3524:F23B:4AF8:4072 (talk) 12:08, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- I've added the 'human-centric' tag, because I entirely agree. If anything, I think that this article should be moved to 'Puberty in humans' and an actual 'Puberty' article created. If puberty in humans is seen as the primary topic, then we could keep 'Puberty' as being just human-centric and create an article called 'Puberty in non-human animals'. Female puberty should mention the voice change
[edit]As described in the voice change article, "the female voice usually deepens only by a few tones." That should be noted here. JasonMacker (talk) 07:35, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
