"Public office": precision

[edit]

This is a very broad term that would seem to encompass appointed as well as elected offices. As far as I can tell, Article 62(1)(f), under which the disqualifications discussed in this article were made, is part of an article that relates specifically to members of parliament. So the people disqualified are disqualified only from being MPs, not from other offices (unless, I suppose, they have similar requirements of "sadiq and ameen").
